In estate il monte di Portofino raggiunge temperature africane e in inverno e sempre molto mite. A non-demanding trek that reserves some beautiful views. It is well known by now but always valid and recommended in all seasons. In summer the mount of Portofino reaches African temperatures and in winter it is always very mild.

Je les ai avertis mais ils ont continué ….sur ce tronçon les signaux devraient être plus dissuasifs pour lés familles. We did the route from San Fruttosio breathtaking views, but we should prohibit access to children it's too dangerous for them I saw a Dutch family with young children not equipped and pregnant lady of pure unconsciousness. I warned them but they continued…on this section the signals should be more dissuasive for the families.
M	Marco Musso on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si parte dalla chiesa di San Rocco: seguendo le indicazioni per San Fruttuoso si viaggia in direzione Batterie, ovvero le ex postazioni di artiglieria. Il percorso è di difficoltà limitata e si snoda attraverso bellissimi paesaggi e pittoresche casupole sparse lungo il versante. In alcuni momenti sembra di entrarci dentro ma non preoccupatevi: seguite il sentiero con i due pallini rossi. La pavimentazione è in gran parte cementata, e solo nell'ultimo tratto è sterrata con alcuni dossi e buchi facilmente superabili. Il sentiero difficile inizia da dopo le batterie, proseguendo per San Fruttuoso. Il paesaggio che si vede è mozzafiato. It starts from the church of San Rocco: following the signs for San Fruttuoso you travel in the direction of Batterie, or the former artillery posts. The route is of limited difficulty and winds through beautiful landscapes and picturesque huts scattered along the slope. In some moments it seems to get into it but don't worry: follow the path with the two red dots. The pavement is largely cemented, and only in the last part is it unpaved with some bumps and holes easily overcome. The difficult path starts from after the batteries, continuing to San Fruttuoso. The landscape you see is breathtaking.

Il secondo passaggio é su roccia molto pendente e scivolosa in cui tenersi per le catene fisse é l'unico modo di passare sul precipizio. Scarpe trekking essenziali (eppure ho visto un bambina di dieci anni farlo). Circa 2 ore facili. Non uscite fuori percorso e non fatelo col bagnato o col cane. Percorso più facile é Semaforo Nuovo - Pietre Strette - San Fruttuoso. Da San Fruttuoso si prende il traghetto che porta a Camogli per €10 (controllare orari prima). Oppure fate il ritorno per Pietre Strette - Semaforo Nuovo. The Batterie trail to San Fruttuoso (from San Rocco) is fantastic but dangerous. On the second passage, on a cliff, you have to hold on to the fixed chains for dear life since the rock is extremely steep and slippery. Proper trekking/hiking shoes are essential yet I saw a ten-year-old girl do it. About 2 hours easy. Don not go off trail, don not do it with wet conditions or with a dog. An easier alternative trail is Semaforo Nuovo - Pietre Strette - San Fruttuoso. From San Fruttuoso a boat will take you to Camogli for €10 (check the times ahead). Or you can do the loop back on the Pietre Strette - Semaforo Nuovo - trail. San Rocco - Batterie - San Fruttuoso route is fantastic but also dangerous. The second step is on very sloping and slippery rock where holding on to the fixed chains is the only way to pass over the precipice. Essential trekking shoes (yet I saw a ten year old girl do it). About 2 easy hours. Do not go out of the way and do not do it in the wet or with the dog. The easiest route is the New Traffic Light - Pietre Strette - San Fruttuoso. From San Fruttuoso you can take the ferry to Camogli for € 10 (check timetables first). Or go back to Pietre Strette - Semaforo Nuovo. The Batterie trail to San Fruttuoso (from San Rocco) is fantastic but dangerous.
