★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo incantato dove è possibile prendere un ottimo aperitivo, un'ottima pizza, un'ottima cena e contemporaneamente chiacchierare sottovoce senza il rumore della città. Vale davvero la pena fare un po' di strada in più.
 Enchanted place where you can have an excellent aperitif, an excellent pizza, an excellent dinner and at the same time chat in a low voice without the noise of the city. It is really worth going a little further.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In questo piccolo e intimo ristorante la cucina siciliana viene reinterpretata con originalità, equilibrio, e quel tocco di "esotismo" che deriva delle contaminazioni con altre tradizioni. Il risultato è un'esperienza ricca e soddisfacente, arricchita dall'atmosfera suggestiva che si respira nella piccola piazza della bella chiesa di Itala.
Ottime materie prime lavorate con maestria, accompagnate da una buona carta dei vini alla luce delle candele: ecco il mio ideale di esperienza gastronomica, che in questo caso ha anche il valore aggiunto di un rapporto qualità-prezzo molto interessante. Bravi!
In this small and intimate restaurant the Sicilian cuisine is reinterpreted with originality, balance, and that touch of "exoticism" that derives from contaminations with other traditions. The result is a rich and satisfying experience, enriched by the evocative atmosphere that reigns in the small square of the beautiful church of Itala.
Excellent raw materials processed with skill, accompanied by a good wine list in the light of candles: here is my ideal of gastronomic experience, which in this case also has the added value of a very interesting value for money. Bravi!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono ritornato dopo qualche anno all'antica Badia ed ho mangiato benissimo. Una garanzia! Vale tutte le curve che occorre superare per raggiungerla.
Ps contrariamente ad alcune indicazioni trovate du Google, il ristorante aperto è quello che si trova ad Itala, mentre quello a Messina è chiuso
After a few years I returned to the ancient Badia and I ate very well. A warranty! It is worth all the curves that must be overcome to reach it.
Ps contrary to some indications found du Google, the open restaurant is the one located in Itala, while the one in Messina is closed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esperienza davvero unica. Il personale di sala e il proprietario sono persone d'altri tempi e hanno curato la serata nei minimi dettagli. I piatti sono molto gustosi e ricercati, la location è davvero suggestiva.

Tutto perfetto, dal posto al clima, alla gentilezza dello chef Gianfranco La Spada che serve personalmente tutti i tavoli con maestria e passione. I piatti si rifanno all’esperienza e ai ricordi d’infanzia dello chef. Assolutamente da provare i fagottini di pepato e il tortino di Emma. Conto davvero conveniente, nient’altro da aggiungere.
E ricordate: “chi ordina prima mangia prima”
A fantastic experience! Located in a small square in front of a Norman church. Everything perfect, from the place to the climate, to the kindness of the chef Gianfranco La Spada who personally serves all the tables with skill and passion. The dishes are based on the chef's experience and childhood memories. Absolutely to try the peppered dumplings and Emma's pie. Really convenient account, nothing else to add.
And remember: "whoever orders first eats first"
