Südtirols wärmster See bringt die Besucher zum Staunen. Rundherum an den Hängen Wein. Soweit das Auge reicht. Wein und sattes Blattgrün. Dazu türkises Wasser und Sonne. Im Hintergrund der Kirchturm von Kaltern. Das ist Südtiroler in Perfektion. If you come to Caldaro, you have to walk the Seerundweg or, like us, cycle around. No big effort. Campingplatz St.Josef mit eigenem Steg und Stellplatz neben einer Imbissbude. Around the lake in two hours! Wonderful circular hike partly on lovingly laid out and meticulously maintained bridge paths. Camping site St.Josef with its own jetty and parking space next to a snack bar.
M	Marmaris Al Marschach on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine riesige Enttäuschung. Asphalt und Betonwege, kilometerweit an einer vielbefahrenen Landstarsse entlang. Viele Fahrradfahrer, alle 3 Minuten zur Seite springen. Kaum Blicke auf den See, entweder ist der weit weg oder Anwohner haben sich mit 2 Meter hohen Holzzäumen eingemauert. Und wie man monokulturelle Agrarwüsten mit einem Naturschutzgedanken verknüpfen kann, ist mir ein Rätsel.
J	Johann Wagner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Seerundwanderweg mit Auwald und Aussichtsplattform Kuchlweg war jetzt nicht so besonders. Schön war der Weg durch die Apfelplantagen an der Nordseite. An der Ostseite geht man neben der Straße, da gibt es eigentlich nichts zu sehen. Im Süden durch Auwald zur Aussichtsplattform und weiter, das ist so eine Art Naturschutzgebiet, geht so. Im Westen dann zwischen der Hauptstraße und Apfelplantagen wieder nach Norden zum Ausgangspunkt, na ja. The lake hiking trail with alluvial forest and the Kuchlweg viewing platform was not so special. The path through the apple orchards on the north side was nice. On the east side you go next to the road, there is actually nothing to see. In the south through alluvial forest to the viewing platform and further, this is a kind of nature reserve, goes like this. L	Lukas D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rundweg wird als Natuerlebnispfad bezeichnet, ist aber fast vollständig betoniert, man sieht den See höchstens aus der Ferne, weil meistens Bretterzäune davor sind oder man sehr weit entfernt an der Strasse entlang geht. Es gibt einen Abschnitt mit einem sehr gut gebauten Holzpfad, der aber nur von hohen Hecken umgeben ist und der sogar Aussichtsplatformen mit Aussicht auf eine Heckenwand bietet. The circular route is called a nature adventure trail, but it is almost entirely paved, you can only see the lake from afar, because there are usually wooden fences in front of it or you walk along the road very far away. There is a section with a very well constructed wooden path but it is only surrounded by tall hedges and even has viewing platforms with a view of a hedge wall.

Il giro completo del lago (8 km circa) può partire e finire nella riserva, fra piccoli stagni, torrette di osservazione, pontili e piccoli corsi d'acqua. Un luogo fresco e tranquillo per correre o passeggiare. It is part of a beautiful walk that winds through the reeds (on a raised pier), light undergrowth, lake shore and apple cultivation. The complete tour of the lake (about 8 km) can start and end in the reserve, between small ponds, observation towers, piers and small streams. A cool and peaceful place to run or walk.
