Lella, come tutti la conoscono, subisce l’influenza del nonno materno, appassionato di fotografia. Poche righe sul retro di vecchi ritratti ne raccontano la storia e la giovane fotografa in erba, con la propria Kodak Instamatic, ne rimane affascinata. La formazione di Maria Raffaela parte da lontano; prima il liceo artistico, poi l’accademia dove consegue, in un coerente percorso di studi, le lauree in scenografia, linguaggio d’arte e fotogiornalismo. Una crescita che prosegue tutt’oggi tra sperimentazione e corsi di aggiornamento. La fotografia di Maria Raffaela si contrappone con coraggio, all’abuso di immagini che caratterizza quest’epoca; l’approccio è ragionato e dietro ad ogni scatto, c’è un progetto. I canoni artistici sono codificati e lo stile è riconoscibile. Gli scatti di Maria Raffaela sono fedeli alla realtà, equilibrati nella composizione e meticolosamente curati per conservare i dettagli anche agli estremi della gamma dinamica, ove le ombre sono ad un passo dal nero e le luci altrettanto vicine al bianco. Queste qualità, aggiunte alla sua bravura, ne fanno una fotografa perfetta che sa ben calibrare e variare l'offerta e le proposte in base alla tipologia di lavoro da svolgere; dalla cerimonia più importante allo shooting artistico più complesso.
Il tutto ad un prezzo assolutamente abbordabile. Consigliatissima.
