It is described as the oldest place of worship for Christians outside of Rome. Immersed in a park, the place is very suggestive.
D	David Scaramucci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo rimasti colpiti da questa bella chiesa molto antica che offre una sensazione di essere vicini alle originindel cristianesimo perché la storia racconta addirittura del passaggio di S.Pietro in questa Chiesa . Gli affreschi sono datati intorno al 200 e in questa costruzione sono passati oltre 1500 anni di storia . Internamente una icona della Madonna . Fuori si può godere del grande parco; a 500 metri di distanza ci sono : la fontana del prete ed il sito antico Forum Novum. Inoltre per chi vuole può pranzare nel vicino ristorante "Oasi di Vescovio" avendo a disposizione ottime portate, buon vino e personale molto gentile . Ci tornerò presto con la mia famiglia. We were struck by this beautiful ancient church that offers a feeling of being close to the origins of Christianity because history tells us of the passage of St. Peter in this Church. The frescoes are dated around 200 and in this construction over 1500 years of history have passed. Internally an icon of the Madonna. Outside you can enjoy the large park; 500 meters away there are: the fountain of the priest and the ancient site Forum Novum. Also for those who want to have lunch in the nearby restaurant "Oasi di Vescovio" having at disposal excellent courses, good wine and very kind staff. I will be back soon with my family.
A	Alessandra Bucari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Santuario dal grande fascino, chiesa romanica con affreschi conservati in modo fantastico. Davanti c' è un bel parco ben tenuto. Posto bello e di grande atmosfera. Sanctuary of great charm, Romanesque church with frescoes preserved in a fantastic way. In front there is a nice, well-kept park. Beautiful place and great atmosphere.

Un santuario (in realtà sembra più un Monastero o una chiesa) di epoca romana o giù di lì immerso nella campagna sabina, raggiungibile da tutte le località sabine con pochi minuti di macchina. La cosa che non ho apprezzato molto è l'eccessiva vicinanza con il ristorante, molto buono tra l'altro. Per esempio durante le messe mattutine si sente, talvolta un forte odore proveniente dalla cucina che può essere fastidioso. Insomma questo Monastero è un posto da visitare senza dubbio, anche per staccare un po' dalla frenesia della città! A really nice and unique place! A sanctuary (in reality it looks more like a monastery or a church) from the Roman era or thereabouts immersed in the Sabine countryside, reachable from all Sabine towns with a few minutes by car. The thing that I did not like very much is the excessive proximity to the restaurant, very good by the way. For example, during the morning masses, you can sometimes feel a strong smell coming from the kitchen which can be annoying. In short, this monastery is a place to visit without a doubt, even to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!

L'origine dell'edificio è paleocristiana , periodo cui risale la confessio con relativa fenestella dei Santi Basso, Fabio, Massimo ancora oggi visibile nella cripta. Una riedificazione dell'edificio risale all'epoca carolingia e successivi interventi si susseguono nei secoli seguenti fino al meraviglioso ciclo pittorico ad affresco attribuito Pietro Cavallini, pittore di scuola grottesca attivo anche a Roma. Il Santuario è mariano e sull'altare è conservata un'antica icona della Vergine. Lo stile di campagna ispira foto e particolari caratteristici Da visitare assolutamente! Territory with strong medieval references. Nice restaurant, tasty food and Sunday break surroundings. The park with its benches and trees is wonderful. The country style inspires photos and characteristic details. A must visit!
