★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo anni di abbandono, e di usi differenti da quello proprio, la chiesa torna finalmente,visitabile,e,mostra i suoi splenditi dipinti in parte restaurati, la struttura risulta pesantemente rimaneggiata non c'e piu' l'altare originale ,ne' quelli laterali la sacrestia e i locali sotto stanti sicuramente murato l'accesso alla cripta,sottostante,e' stata recentemente dotata di una copertura in quanto quella originale era crollata, chiesa Voluta fortemente da Giulia Farnese, sorella del papa Paolo III che in quegli anni viveva nel sovrastante castello, come recita l'iscrizione sopra all'entrata,venne eretta circa nel 1522 sicuramente gli affreschi sono dei fratelli Zuccari ,in quegli anni impegnati nei decori del palazzo Farnese della vicina Caprarola.Attualmente utilizzata specie per attivita’ culturali e’ visitabile in occasione di mostre di pittura e simili!
After years of neglect, and uses different from its own, the church finally returns, open to visitors, and, showing its splendid partially restored paintings, the structure is heavily remodeled there is no longer the original altar, nor those the sacristy and the rooms below are certainly walled. Access to the crypt below has been recently equipped with a cover as the original one had collapsed, church strongly desired by Giulia Farnese, sister of Pope Paul III who in those years lived in above the castle, as the inscription above the entrance says, was erected around 1522, certainly the frescoes are by the Zuccari brothers, in those years engaged in the decorations of the Farnese palace in nearby Caprarola. occasion of painting exhibitions and the like!
