a	alisei. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uscita da un recente recupero architettonico, questa interessante chiesa è dedicata a San Cristoforo anche se comunemente detta di Sant'Agostino. La chiesa risale all'anno mille e dal 1300 ha subito diversi restauri. La sua struttura è a navata unica e la particolarità è data dalla presenza di due edicole di notevoli dimensioni poste in prossimità dell'altare maggiore. Nell'edicola di marmo sulla sinistra si trova l'immagine della Madonna delle Grazie con in braccio il bambino Gesù. Si dice che nel 1489 l'immagine versò lacrime più volte dall'occhio destro alla presenza di numerosi testimoni. L'edicola di destra è una struttura lignea riccamente lavorata e dorata del 1600 che a suo tempo copriva l'edicola in marmo della Madonna. Sull'abside un monumentale altare ligneo decisamente scuro. Il resto della chiesa ospita dipinti, crocefissi, tele e tabernacoli originali del periodo 1600-1700. Having emerged from a recent architectural restoration, this interesting church is dedicated to San Cristoforo, although commonly known as Sant'Agostino. The church dates from the year one thousand and in 1300 has undergone several restorations. Its structure has a single nave and the particularity is given by the presence of two aedicules of considerable size placed near the main altar. In the marble newsstand on the left is the image of the Madonna delle Grazie holding the baby Jesus. It is said that in 1489 the image shed tears from the right eye several times in the presence of numerous witnesses. The aedicule on the right is a richly worked and gilded wooden structure from the 1600s which in its time covered the marble newsstand of the Madonna. The apse a monumental decidedly dark wooden altar. The rest of the church houses original paintings, crucifixes, canvases and tabernacles from the 1600-1700 period.
