β β β β β A very nice journey back to Roman and Etruscian seafaring and coast line defense in the middle of Italy. Beautifully restored ancient castle on the beach for the young explorers and the history loving hearts.
Hostal and little shops as well as museas inside the castle ?.

β β β β β Stunning views only about 40min drive outside of Rome. Definitely suggest going there if youβre in Rome in off-season, the beach is quiet and calm, with barely any people there.

β β β β β Beautiful location very close to the sea and to Santa Marinella Beach, but there is really not much to see here. Unless you are in the area, I would not make the trip. Also, the Holiday market is very tailored to young children which is not clearly advertised on their website.

β β β β β Beautiful castel at the beach, actually much nicer from outside than from inside . Origins are from the eteuscans 700 bc, later occupied by Greek settlers in 400 bc , many roman relicts from the era when if was port to Rome, and used ever since until today. Remains of an early Christian Church have been unearthed, the remaining big tower is from the 9th century, outside walls on the north side from roman time about 2000 years ago. There is a bistro and tourists. The place can be reached easily from Rome by train. Th beach is beautiful and the whole setup worth a trip from Rome
