Leider ist der Vorplatz rund um den Turm herum mit etlichen Kronkorken übersät, was der Idylle nicht gerade gut beispielt. Beautifully situated monastery, with views over the valley. Consiglio, dopo una visita dei luoghi ed una rilassante passeggiata nel bosco fino all'Eremo, i Vespri (alle 17.00), il Rosario (17.30) e la Messa (18.00). A place of spiritual peace, where the serenity of the soul is lived. After a visit of the places and a relaxing walk in the woods to the Hermitage, I recommend Vespers (at 5.00 pm), the Rosary (5.30 pm) and Mass (6.00 pm).

C’è tutto quello che serve per trascorrere una giornata in tranquillità visitando tali luoghi con la famiglia o con le guide escursionistiche. C	Caterina De Caprio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho scoperto per caso che il martedì in albis i piedimontesi vanno per tradizione all'antico santuario di Santa Maria Occorrevole. Qui devono consumare tutti gli avanzi dei pranzi pasquali in un lieto picnic all'aperto. Prevedendo una gran folla il comune ha addirittura istituito un servizio di navette per facilitare l accesso ai luoghi sacri ed evitare imbottigliamenti nella stretta via d'accesso. L' ampio piazzale della torre di San Pasquale è dunque la prima meta, qui bancarelle di torrone, di giocattoli per bambini e un po' più in là giostrine e altalene prese d'assalto da ragazzini festanti. L'atmosfera di festa paesana e mangereccia è però smentita , quando si accede alla bella chiesa affrescata , al conventino e infine all'eremo del Monte Muto, tutti insediamenti più antichi, a partire dal Cinquecento. E' una vera sorpresa per la bellezza degli scenari naturali, da qui si domina la gola dell'Inferno e il percorso verso le varie cappelle (dedicate a San Giovanni Giuseppe della Croce, a SantAntonio , alla Madonna) avviene nel silenzio, misticamente scandito dalle formelle settecentesche della via Crucis , in ceramica di Cerreto Sannita . Su questa stradina che costeggia il burrone sottostante ho assistito alla processione e alla rituale bendizione ai paesini del Matese, (Piedimonte, Castello, San Gregorio) , un invito a pregare per tutta la locale comunità dei fedeli , una comunità commossa e fiera della bellezza dei suoi luoghi e della lussureggiante vegetazione. E' una consapevolezza di sè e della propria storia che fa piacere in tempi di superficialità consumistica ... It is a real surprise for the beauty of the natural scenery, from here one dominates the gorge of Hell and the path to the various chapels (dedicated to San Giovanni Giuseppe della Croce, to Sant Antonio, to the Madonna) takes place in silence, mystically marked by the 18th century tiles of the Via Crucis, in ceramic from Cerreto Sannita. On this road that runs along the ravine below I witnessed the procession and the ritual blessing to the villages of Matese, (Piedimonte, Castello, San Gregorio), an invitation to pray for the whole local community of the faithful, a community moved and proud of the beauty of its places and luxuriant vegetation. It is an awareness of oneself and one's own history that is pleasing in times of consumerist superficiality ...
