N	Nicoletta Spinelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo edificio altomedievale, a tre navate, con il colonnato solo su quella di sinistra. Rimangono all'interno diversi pannelli di affersco in cui si leggono il matrimonio mistico di Santa Caterina e altre figure di Santi. Visitabile chiamando gli uffici del Comune di Antrodoco e chiedendo della persona che in volontariato si occupa di aprire il complesso. Annesso un batristero esagonale che avendo un esterno molto semplice non prefigura minimamente la ricchezza pittorica degli affreschi splendidamente conservati che ne ricoprono le intere pareti. Da visitare assolutamente! Beautiful early medieval building, with three naves, with the colonnade only on the left one. Nulla è chiesto dai volontari se non un'offerta per il mantenimento della chiesa. A wonderful place opened thanks to the volunteers whose number is on the site of the church. Il battistero è conservato benissimo, se passate da antrodoco, a mio avviso, è un posto da visitare. Church in good condition, but to visit it you have to agree with the caretaker or wait for any occasions (such as concerts or special functions). The baptistery is very well preserved, if you pass by Antrodoco, in my opinion, it is a place to visit.

Da notare e considerare la pietra che indica il centro d’Italia (luogo ritenuto tale da numerosi studiosi antichi e moderni). Il portale è stato spostato nel duomo di Antrodoco e quello presente proviene dalla chiesa di San Nicola d’anza a L’Aquila. Grazie ad alcune pietre usate per la pavimentazione, si è potuto capire che nel luogo era presente un tempio di età romana dedicato alla divinità Diana. Il battistero è di poco successivo ed è completamente affrescato con pitture della scuola di Giotto. È molto raro trovare questa chiesa aperta ma in caso la trovaste aperta, merita la visita! The portal was moved to the cathedral of Antrodoco and the present one comes from the church of San Nicola d’anza in L’Aquila. Thanks to some stones used for the paving, it was possible to understand that in the place there was a Roman age temple dedicated to the divinity Diana. The baptistery is a little later and is completely frescoed with paintings from Giotto's school. It is very rare to find this church open but in case you find it open, it is worth a visit!
