Viene ritenuta un vero concentrato di elementi architettonici, stilistici ed artistici evolutisi nei secoli, particolarmente al suo interno. Peccato che non sia aperta al pubblico per motivi di sicurezza. L'ho sempre trovata chiusa.
Among the oldest churches in the city of Lucca and in its historic center. It is considered a true concentrate of architectural, stylistic and artistic elements that have evolved over the centuries, particularly inside. Too bad it's not open to the public for security reasons. I've always found it closed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stupenda chiesa medievale perfettamente conservata e visibile, almeno esternamente, passeggiando per il centro di Lucca. Ottimo utilizzo degli stupendi sassi bianchi lavorati a mano e stupendo anche tutto il concetto architettonico dietro a questo edificio. Una visita sicuramente ne vale la pena.
Wonderful medieval church perfectly preserved and visible, at least externally, walking through the center of Lucca. Excellent use of the beautiful white stones worked by hand and also the whole architectural concept behind this building is amazing. A visit is definitely worth it.

The church is one of the places of the Italian Environment Fund and is open on FAI Days. For 2022 the first opening is on 26 and 27 March with visits by appointment
