★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the priviledge to visit Sangro River war Cemetry with my father Vincent in 2011 as part of our remembrance tour with the support of the British legion.
It was a very moving and deeply meaningful experience to visit my father's brother's war grave.The Cemetry is beautifully cared for and is a credit to the War graves commission and the Italian authorities.
The respectful reverence for the war cemetrys we visited during our remembrance tour was clearly evidenced in the meticulous care taken to maintain them.
On behalf of my father and myself and our family may I express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all those who contribute to this and all the war cemetrys of the Italian campaign.
Rest in Peace 'Hanford' (Thomas) Dearly loved Son brother and uncle and all who gave their lives so that we could live!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So sad that people are allowed to let their children run wild, shouting and screaming and even a group of young people drinking beer under a tree. Went there because it is Remembrance Day today and now wished we hadn;t. There should be someone keeping a check on people and their disrespectful behaviour
