A caratterizzarla è un bassorilievo con il Leone di San Marco (scalpellato alla caduta della dominazione lagunare) e da una lapide riportante i nomi dei cittadini berici morti durante una battaglia contro gli austriaci nel 1848.
A tribute to the Republic of Venice is Porta Santa Lucia.
To characterize it is a bas-relief with the Lion of San Marco (chiseled at the fall of the lagoon domination) and a plaque bearing the names of the Berici citizens who died during a battle against the Austrians in 1848.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si tratta di una delle antiche porte delle mura scaligere di Vicenza. È un piacevole manufatto, da ammirare solo dall'esterno in passeggiata per la città. A fianco ad esso è interessante notare come le abitazioni abbiamo occupato la storica cinta difensiva.
It is one of the ancient gates of the Scaliger walls of Vicenza. It is a pleasant artifact, to be admired only from the outside while walking around the city. Next to it, it is interesting to note how the houses we occupied the historic defensive wall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una delle varie porte di accesso alla città di Vicenza. Su tutta la cinta muraria medioevale e come in tutte le città che in quell'epoca costruirono queste difese alla città stessa, le porte rappresentavano l'unico accesso alla città. Porta Santa Lucia è un torrione molto bello. Non tanto alto rispetto alle altre porte delle mura cittadine, ma ha la bellezza che non può essere aperta al traffico delle auto. Questo aspetto ne conserva sicuramente il buono stato della porta stessa.
One of the various access gates to the city of Vicenza. On all the medieval city walls and as in all the cities that at that time built these defenses to the city itself, the gates represented the only access to the city. Porta Santa Lucia is a very beautiful keep. Not so high compared to the other doors of the city walls, but it has the beauty that cannot be opened to car traffic. This aspect certainly preserves the good condition of the door itself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Porta cittadina costruita nel 1369 dagli Scaligeri. Sulla facciata esterna risalta il profilo di un leone marciano, scalpellato nel periodo napoleonico. Sotto l'arco è murata una lapide che rimanda allo scontro qui avvenuto tra insorti e austriaci durante i moti del 1848.
Town gate built in 1369 by the Scaligeri. On the external facade stands out the profile of a Marciano lion, chiseled in the Napoleonic period. A plaque is walled under the arch which refers to the clash that took place here between insurgents and Austrians during the uprisings of 1848.
