★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa, situata nella piazza omonima, nel centro storico di Genova, fu fondata nel 1188. Parrocchia gentilizia delle nobili famiglie Spinola e Grimaldi, fu ricostruita in forme barocche dall'architetto lombardo Carlo Mutone tra il 1626 e il 1650.
L'interno presenta una pianta a croce greca con un'unica navata terminante in un abside semicircolare. La chiesa, ricca di marmi, presenta un ciclo di affreschi realizzati da Domenico Piola , tra i quali spiccano le storie della vita di San Luca. Tra le altre opere presenti il gruppo marmoreo dell'Immacolata sull'altar maggiore, il gruppo ligneo del Cristo deposto, la Natività del Grechetto.

 The church, located in the square of the same name, in the historic center of Genoa, was founded in 1188. A noble parish of the noble Spinola and Grimaldi families, it was rebuilt in Baroque style by the Lombard architect Carlo Mutone between 1626 and 1650.
The interior has a Greek cross plan with a single nave ending in a semicircular apse. The church, rich in marble, has a cycle of frescoes by Domenico Piola, among which the stories of the life of San Luca stand out. Among the other works present the marble group of the Immaculate Conception on the high altar, the wooden group of the deposed Christ, the Nativity by Grechetto.

La costruzione risale al 1188.
L'esterno ricostruito nel XVII secolo, conserva ancora le caratteristiche dello stile genovese.
L'interno è in stile barocco, ad unica navata.
Le caratteristiche della chiesa sono:
- affreschi di Domenico Piola (zona absidale)
- opere di Anton Maria Haffner
- opera "Natività o Adorazione dei Magi" del Grechetto
- sculture nella zona absidale di Filippo Parodi.

The church of San Luca is located in the historic center of Genoa, in one of the most important streets of the city since ever.
The construction dates back to 1188.
The exterior rebuilt in the seventeenth century still retains the characteristics of the Genoese style.
The interior is in Baroque style, with a single nave.
The characteristics of the church are:
