★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccola e graziosa chiesetta collocata nella contrada omonima ai margini della strada vicinale che collega la Giovinazzo – Terlizzi alla località Cava della Volpe. Fu edificata intorno al 1000 e servita da clero greco.
Attualmente è in stato di grave degrado, ridotta a deposito di attrezzi agricoli. Caratteristico all’esterno l’assetto con tetti a spiovente che nascondono le volte a botte. Il braccio trasverso è evidenziato da due brevi facciate laterali senza cuspide; il tiburio quadrato della cupola è a sua volta sormontato da un tetto a piramide.
Small and pretty church located in the district of the same name on the edge of the local road that connects Giovinazzo - Terlizzi to the Cava della Volpe area. It was built around 1000 and served by Greek clergy.
It is currently in a state of serious degradation, reduced to a store of agricultural tools. Characteristic on the outside is the structure with sloping roofs that hide the barrel vaults. The transverse arm is highlighted by two short lateral facades without cusp; the square dome of the dome is in turn surmounted by a pyramid roof.
