Mia figlia minorenne, si preoccupa per un uomo disteso a terra, nessuno nelle vicinanze che potesse aiutarla, per cui mi avverte e chiamo per far intervenire un'ambulanza. Oltre all'attesa telefonica di qualche minuto, l'operatore pretendeva che mia figlia andasse dall'uomo a parlargli, per capire se fosse ubriaco o se stesse realmente male. Secondo il loro strano pensiero di senso civico, una ragazzina avrebbe dovuto mettere a repentaglio la propria vita, per evitare di far uscire un'ambulanza. Poi ci lamentiamo se i ragazzini o anche adulti, si voltano dall'altra parte, se questa è l'assistenza da chi dovrebbe aiutare, siamo in ottime mani!
 Bad experience! My underage daughter is worried about a man lying on the ground, no one nearby who could help her, so she warns me and I call for an ambulance to intervene. In addition to the telephone waiting for a few minutes, the operator required my daughter to go to the man to talk to him, to understand if he was drunk or if he was really ill. According to their strange civic thinking, a little girl should have risked her life to avoid letting an ambulance out. Then we complain if the kids or even adults turn away, if this is the assistance from who should help, we are in good hands!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Di recente mi Sono scoperto allergico ad alcuni farmaci che in passato assumersi regolarmente e in quest'ultimo percorso ho dovuto ricorrere all'assistenza del 118 di Catania. Per due volte mi hanno salvato la vita avendo avuto degli shock anafilattici importanti e gravi. In entrambi i casi ho potuto constatare l'alta professionalità degli operatori che con cura, e gentilezza e umanità mi hanno aiutato. Sono un ex uomo dello stato e sono abituato a vedere, scoprire le inefficienze organizzative, ma assicuro che questi operatori colmano con il loro lavoro tutte quelle piccole e grandi cose che l'organizzazione, o per che non può o perché non vuole, dare a queste donne e uomini che con il loro lavoro salvano la vita a tanti di noi. A loro andrà sempre il mio pensiero di ringraziamento e per avermi consentito di state ancora con la i miei nipotini i miei figli e mia moglie.
Grazie di vero cuore a voi tutti buona vita e che Dio vi benedica sempre.

I recently discovered I was allergic to some drugs that I took regularly in the past and in this last path I had to resort to the assistance of the 118 of Catania. Twice they saved my life having had major and severe anaphylactic shocks. In both cases I was able to see the high professionalism of the operators who helped me with care, kindness and humanity. I am a former statesman and I am used to seeing, discovering organizational inefficiencies, but I assure that these operators fill with their work all those small and big things that the organization, or for which it cannot or because it does not want, give to these women and men who with their work save the lives of many of us. My thoughts will always go to them of thanks and for allowing me to be with my grandchildren, my children and my wife again.
