Great place to visit and learn a bit of history of that dam, great ways for trekking and incredible views

I love the place. It takes a 90 minutes hike to reach it, but once you get there, you get the chance to rest by the small lake which formed behind the ruins.

A very iconic historical landmark, the Gleno dam collapsed in 1923, killing more than 300 people as the water thundered down the valley below. Now its ruins can be seen (but not accessed) in a beautiful mountain plateau, great for short hikes and pic nics.

Gleno dam is a great hike! It is steep for the first thirty minutes and then is relatively flat. It's in a very beautiful place, with sweeping valley views at the top. It's a tough hike, but many people bring kids and dogs along. It gets relatively chilly at the top even during summer, so may be worth to bring a sweatshirt. There's also a small bar at the top that sells some herbal liquor and some small food items, but many people bring their own picnics

Beautiful walk to this ruïnes. Intriguing silent place. Why do we always want to conquer nature?

Great hike with a well- maintained trail. We went up the tough way (coming up on the left of the dam) and down the easier way on the other side. Plenty of climbing! Wouldn't suggest in the rain as things would get very slippery. The Glen Dam is definitely quite the sight and the bar at the top has some good sandwiches and plenty of beer and wine options. Bathroom is actually shockingly clean!

Was definitely worth, climbing to this hidden gem. Don't trust google map route hiking time estimation as it is not an hour, but still something about 2 hours maximum. The road is mostly smooth, as much as you can say smooth about rocky road. There is no dangerous cliff on the way, and almost no climbing, so its pretty accessible for everyone. At the top, if you want to get the best shot, be careful with going deeper through a lake shore, because its basically a swamp. However it has warning sign there it starts.

Definitely worth a visit. In winter and with the snow it's even more fascinating
