La strada è a tratti asfaltata ma dissestata causa mancanza di manutenzioni del manto stradale, a tratti sterrata con diversi frammenti di rocce sul ciglio della strada alle quali bisogna fare attenzione ed a tratti è presente una mulattiera di cemento. Sconsigliabile andare con una macchina di carenatura bassa. Ho provveduto, a tal proposito, di pubblicare alcune foto della strada che porta a Casalinuovo dal momento che su Google Maps la strada non è tracciata Beautiful and charming ghost town, reachable directly by car. The road is asphalted at times but bumpy due to lack of maintenance of the road surface, at times dirt with several fragments of rocks on the edge of the road to which attention must be paid and at times there is a concrete mule track. Not recommended to go with a low fairing machine. In this regard, I have taken steps to publish some photos of the road leading to Casalinuovo since the road is not traced on Google Maps

G	Giuseppe Frammartino on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buongiorno penso di fare cosa gradita dando prima di tutto delle indicazioni per raggiungere il posto. Innanzitutto giunti al casello di San Salvatore dopo l'unico cartello che indica casali nuovo non vi è alcuna successiva indicazione e il turista è indotto a proseguire dritto su una strada terribile. Invece giunti in prossimità di due costruzioni moderne che si troveranno sulla sinistra vi è sempre a sinistra una stretta stradina che scende e che porta al paesino che contrariamente a quanto si potrebbe pensare è posto molto in basso, ai piedi di una bella altura. Dalla svolta a sinistra ci vorranno una ventina di minuti è preferibile un fuoristrada o una macchina alta (meglio vecchia) la strada è a tratti inesistente ed invasa da massi taglienti. Giunti al Paese arriva la delusione, i ruderi sono pressoché invisitabili perché tutto è diventato un enorme ovile per ospitare gli animali. Ogni via è stata sbarrata e la cosa che fa tristezza è vedere i maiali dornire nella chiesa che si trova all'ingresso del paese. Cosa più brutta si notano cumuli di rifiuti ingombranti, che dire posto incredibile ma come spesso accade lasciato in balia dell'inciviltà. Penso sia importante dare informazioni chiare al turista che viene a visitare la nostra regione per la splendida montagna e non solo per il mare Good morning I think I am pleased to give first of all directions to reach the place. First of all, when you arrive at the San Salvatore tollbooth, after the only sign indicating casali nuovo, there is no subsequent indication and the tourist is induced to continue straight on a terrible road. Instead, when you come near two modern buildings that will be found on the left there is always a narrow road on the left that goes down and leads to the village which, contrary to what one might think, is located very low, at the foot of a beautiful hill. From the left turn it will take about twenty minutes, an off-road vehicle or a high car (better old) is preferable, the road is sometimes non-existent and invaded by sharp boulders. Once in the country comes the disappointment, the ruins are almost invisible because everything has become a huge sheepfold to house the animals. Every street has been blocked and the sad thing is to see the pigs dorn in the church which is located at the entrance to the town. Worse still, there are heaps of bulky waste, which is an incredible place but, as often happens, left at the mercy of incivility. I think it is important to give clear information to tourists who come to visit our region for the splendid mountains and not just for the sea
D	Daniele Maria Sacchi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ruderi di Casalnuovo situati su di un costone roccioso a destra del torrente Apòscipo, a circa 737 metri sul livello del mare, si inseriscono nel Parco Nazionale dell'Aspromonte, non lontano dal vecchio borgo anch'esso abbandonato di Africo. Consigliato per escursioni a piedi ed in Mountain bike per la bellezza del territorio. The ruins of Casalnuovo located on a rocky ridge to the right of the Apòscipo stream, about 737 meters above sea level, are part of the Aspromonte National Park, not far from the old abandoned village of Africo. Recommended for hiking and mountain biking due to the beauty of the area.
