★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Secondo la leggenda la fondazione del castello sul capo d'Orlando sarebbe da imputare a Carlo Magno, che pare lo facesse erigere per difendere le truppe lì inviate dagli attacchi dei saraceni.
Oggi di quella costruzione non rimangono che pochi ruderi all'interno dei quali nel corso del Novecento è stata posata anche una croce a memoria di come il presidio fosse un baluardo del Cristianesimo.
Le notizie circa la fondazione rimangono comunque frammentarie, tanto che il cartello posto davanti ai ruderi ne data la nascita al XIII secolo.
According to legend, the foundation of the castle on the head of Orlando would be attributed to Charlemagne, who apparently had it built to defend the troops sent there by the attacks of the Saracens.
Today only a few ruins remain of that building, within which during the twentieth century a cross was also placed in memory of how the garrison was a bastion of Christianity.
The news about the foundation, however, remain fragmentary, so much so that the sign placed in front of the ruins dates back to the 13th century.
