Worst attitude ever. Lie. Disappointment of first evening in Rome. After the first evening in Rome we noticed that good decorations… Unfortunately. We came to sit at the cosy table outside (near the fire heaters) but the manager (lean man with short haircut in black) refused us telling that outside places are not served anymore. So we took a drink (which was good, to be honest) and we wanted to have some dinner and shifted to the table at the window… And we saw the same manager serving food gladly to some new visitors near the fire heaters outside. When we called him he preferred to ignore us several times. Then he called a waitress and fled the problem. So we paid and left… And saw that all other outside tables were also served and the fires lit up (When we came nearly all tables were free and the fires were switched off). We visited a lot of countries. We visited a lot of places and restaurants. But we thought that Rome will be something special... And bar Rosso in Rome became the place of disappointment, lie and hypocrisy. And we did not try its food. A fly in the ointment, as the proverb tells…

It's one of the few choices that's why we have in the area and thats why we would go there. No other reason. The place is rather mediocre. The staff is also rude . We ordered some cornetos and while the plate was almost in my hand the table the owner said NO this for other guests and took the cornetos literally from hand. I was surprised with this rude behaviour as it was a mere cornetto and nothing important. But the gesture was just unnecessary and impolite.

It was my first time to be in this place last Friday . Ambience was good, the place is spacious, booking in advance is necessary, aperitivo was good. I must say, it's a nice place to meet with colleagues. I met 4 groups from different units that night alone and all of them for some reason know.

Went there for lunch and liked it a lot! They had the option to choose from a buffet or order from the menu. Staff was friendly and toilets clean. Would come again!

Very good restaurant, they have a nice menu, and good wines. Waiters are kind and fast. The place is located very close to the circo Massimo, so ora ideal for a post-dinnee walk in the city.

We came here for lunch and got a small table outside. The place was very busy as it was business lunchtime, and the wait staff were stressed but still friendly and efficient. We had a caesar salad and a chicken poké, both very nice and pleasantly presented. The prices were okay for what we got, particularly considering where the place is-right opposite the UN building and close to the Circo Massimo. I feel like people complaining about prices forget that any restaurant has rent to pay. Also those complaining about rudeness: I don't want to assume anything, but if you don't speak Italian, don't expect that Italian wait staff speak perfect English. Sometimes, what they say may come across as rude in English but is perfectly polite and appropriate in Italian, or you may be misunderstanding something, simply because English is not their first language and they're not familiar with how direct translations of Italian phrases come across. Not here to lecture anyone, but on my Italy vacations I often see tourists who seem to be waiting to be offended instead of dealing with hiccups/misunderstandings etc with a bit of humour and kindness.

Ask for Fernando!!!!! Man, what a wonderful day with the family at Rosso in Rome. A short walk to the Colosseum and right across from FAO. Fernando was the highlight of the lunch. From the moment we walked past the restaurant, his energy was inviting. We attended to my wife and kids and pretty much ordered our lunch. He mixed knowledge of the menu with humor and service excellence. The pasta, burgers, fries and wine were ALL he stated it would be. A must Bucket List stop in Rome.
