Quick lunch before heading to the pier. Affordable price, very good cappuccino and sandwiches. You can choose to eat at the bar (standing) if you’re on a budget

Yes, the service is slow but that's Italy. Ask yourself why you are in a hurry when you're in such a beautiful setting? 140 years of practice makes a for a great cappuccino which is worth the "wait" anyway. Good assortment of fresh pastries and snacks, and of course delicious gelato. Sit in the large, covered outside area with a campari spritz and enjoy the sunset.

Very good pastries and tramezzinos (sandwiches) in an old school café. Wonderful atmosphere, marble counters and wooden shelfs.

One of the great spots in North Venice. The service is incredible as is the food. Breakfast lunch and ice-creams are all available and made fresh. The terrasse is very pleasant in the early morning and afternoon. You just have to make it early enough to get a spot! The selection of croissants are delicious and their orange juice is incredible. Just beware of the birds, they get quite aggressive!

Delicious coffee, toastie with ham and cheese, and all sorts of pasteries. Simply delicious. We were here for breakfast, sat outside, enjoyed sunshine and great food. Can't ask for more.

Very rude staff. I got 2 Espresso in this cafe. When the waitress gave me my change back she literally told me to „Kiss her a.., and grazie“ in Italian, while the rest of the staff was laughing. I recommend to avoid this place!

I came here because there were good reviews about these chain of cafés being historic with great coffee. However, I wish I had gone elsewhere and I ended up leaving before I finished. I ordered a coffee and two cookies and they came out but the cookies didn’t taste freshly baked and it was just after 10 in the morning. The coffee was OK not great. Don’t know why it had such a good review online. Then I asked for honey and the waiter said they would bring it. The waiter never returned and I had finished my coffee I wanted to get another one so I went inside and the waiter was sitting there eating behind the counter. I told him I wanted to order, and he just pointed to go out and wait at my table. I had to wait until he was finished eating until he came back out and then said ‘oh the honey’. I showed him I had already finished my coffee and he said oh he thought it was brought out. I wonder who would’ve brought it out because he was the only waiter serving outside? I wanted another coffee and cookie but I just paid and left. I didn’t finish the second cookie, the amareno marmalata one, because it wasn’t very good. Onto another café to try to finish my breakfast!

This old and beautifully located coffee and ice cream shop in Castello is a must. Enjoy the best iced cappuccino in Venice after feasting on the Bellini and Lotto paintings in the church of SS Giovanni e Paolo. If you are lucky you will be served by Omar, amusing, polite and an excellent barista who speaks perfect English.
