β β β β β Palazzo Cobenzl Γ¨ posizionato nell'attuale via dell'arcivescovado, poco dopo piazza Vittoria e poco prima di via Carducci. Uno storico edificio della fine del Cinquecento che Γ¨ diventato centrale per la storia di Gorizia nel 1752. Grazie al lascito testamentario del barone Agostino Codelli di Fahnenfeld per l'erezione di un episcopato stabile a Gorizia, lo splendido palazzo divenne la sede ufficiale del neonato arcivescovado Goriziano e il primo arcivescovo il conte Carlo Michele d'Attems ne prese pieno possesso proprio in quel 1752. L'edificio subΓ¬ varie modifiche e ingrandimenti e venne danneggiato fortemente nel primo conflitto mondiale. Ancora oggi Γ¨ prestigiosa sede degli arcivescovi e contiene tesori di inestimabili valore, con arredi originali e quadreria ereditata dalla famiglia Strassoldo. Da ricordare il cortile interno con il bellissimo pozzo e l'elegante cappella arcivescovile del 1898 voluta dal cardinal arcivescovo Giacomo Missia.
Palazzo Cobenzl is located in the current via dell'arcivescovado, shortly after Piazza Vittoria and just before via Carducci. A historic building of the late sixteenth century that became central to the history of Gorizia in 1752. Thanks to the testamentary legacy of Baron Agostino Codelli of Fahnenfeld for the erection of a permanent episcopate in Gorizia, the splendid palace became the official seat of the archbishop's newborn Gorizia and the first archbishop, Count Carlo Michele d'Attems took full possession of it in 1752. The building underwent various modifications and enlargements and was severely damaged in the First World War. Still today it is the prestigious seat of the archbishops and contains treasures of inestimable value, with original furnishings and pictures inherited from the Strassoldo family. To remember the inner courtyard with the beautiful well and the elegant archiepiscopal chapel of 1898 wanted by the cardinal archbishop Giacomo Missia.
