★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lungo il sentiero del "pino solo", sopra alle ultime case di Via Francia, ci sono i resti medievali della "Rocchetta di Pettino" 1003 mt (sec. XIV-XV). La rocca era un punto di avvistamento che sovrastava tutta la città di L'Aquila, ha importanti strutture anche al di sotto della torre cilindrica che un tempo doveva essere sicuramente molto più alta. Bello il percorso escursionistico anche se in parte danneggiato dall'incendio dell'estate 2020.
Along the path of the "single pine", above the last houses of Via Francia, there are the medieval remains of the "Rocchetta di Pettino" 1003 meters (14th-15th century). The fortress was a lookout point that overlooked the whole city of L'Aquila, it has important structures even below the cylindrical tower that once must have certainly been much higher. The hiking route is beautiful even if partially damaged by the fire in summer 2020.
