I arrive in Lapio and check where to buy some Fiano. It is 3.30 pm and you see that the only open one is Rocca del Principe. I arrive with the motorbike in front of the gate which opens as if by magic and invites me to enter. The dog barks and a lady looks out behind the windows. "Mo arrives," he tells me. Check Hercules (I'll find out later it's called that), and I ask if he lets me visit the cellar ... without talking about purchases or not. He doesn't blink and allows me to enter, see, smell. We've been talking for 20 minutes, and that's enough to make it seem like we've known each other forever. You immediately trust Hercules ... he is straightforward and you think ... "one like him makes wine like him". I am amazed at the thought that he has opened a cellar even though I was a single person and the wonder becomes certainty when, asking to buy a bottle, he asks me which one he wants to taste, even if we have to open a bottle specifically for a single taste. In the end I think it would not be right not to trust me totally and I tell him "you do ... tomorrow at my table he will talk about you". And he gives me the wine, gives me the discount ... let's talk about motorcycles ... and already a premise for a return I go home and the curiosity is too much ... I open the bottle of "Tognano" ... Fiano di Avellino, and I understand that I was not wrong. Ercole is frank, honest, and he gave me a great wine ... a GREAT WINE ... which could have a defect, however ... not to arrive "at the table" until tomorrow to be able to talk about "him".
