Availability of the staff at the highest levels of courtesy. The material is a lot and the time available much less. The contact with Mr. Rivolta is interesting and instructive. It is not the first time I visit the sawmill and I will certainly repeat the trip. Very satisfied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible selection of Alpine spruce from high altitude locations in Val di Fiemme, where great Cremonian masters sourced spruce for their masterpieces. Thousands (literally) of hand selected and carefully graded tops for stringed instruments. You can find wood cut 3 years ago, 15 years ago - the choice is yours. Everything naturally dried. The Rivolta family for 4 generations is selecting specific trees high in the mountains, cut them in their traditional sawmill in Desio near Milano and boy, they know their profession! On top of their spruce speciality this is a great source for highest quality beautiful maple, ebony and many other wood for violin family, acoustic, classical, electric guitars and many other. Think of a wood and they have it. Go there and you feel like a child in a candy shop...
