L	Lisa S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the first night of our 11-day trip. The restaurant sits on a steep hill. We were seated on the outside patio. There was a beautiful stone wall, the birds were chirping while lolling in fruit trees (I know, I would be singing too!), the evening was perfectly starry. It was evident that much thought was put in to the decor and ambiance. Our waiter was welcoming, but did not speak English. Not to worry, the Chef himself came out and enthusiastically explained the menu in mouthwatering detail. The choosing was dificult, but we finally settled on: swordfish rollatini (thin strips of swordfish in breadcrumbs rolled up) (fresh fish, herbs, heaven!), octopus salad, homemade fettucini with tomato sauce and green pea puree (sounds odd but wow, was it good!), Snapper (described as "yellow snapper") - this was the best fish I think I have ever had. We had a variety of homemade breads with house brand olive oil that was packed with flavor. Dessert was a must although we were full. We couldn't wait to see what this Chef could do with the dolce. We were not disappointed. Each of us ordered something different: white chocolate mousse, almond nougat with caramelized nuts and fudge, and a deconstructed fruit pie. We tried to agree on which one was the best, but, in the end, it was a three-way tie. The Chef was born and raised in Termini, and has travelled the world to learn about different cuisines. He came back to his hometown to share his considerable talent and enthusiasm for food with his fellow Terminians (?). Well done Chef!

Everything was great since the entrance, gorgeous location in the city centre and then up into this ancient Sicilian house. The atmosphere was unique and the service was excellent. I had the tasting menu and everything was incredibly balanced, tasteful and elegant. I WILL GO BACK! Thank you chef, you make Sicilian people proud of you.

The chef always present and showing his passion in every dish. Good courses size and value for money. Absolutely a "must try" for tourists and locals.

Chef is amazing at showing restraint and letting each dish have balance. He also started so subtle and worked up to big flavours. Using fresh, seasonal foods he certainly gave us an experience to remember. The only comments I have are that the drive up the mountain is hard in the dark (especially for those of us unfamiliar with driving in the hills) we did it but were a bit frazzled. Going down was MUCH easier. Also, we found it odd that the 6 and 9 course dinners didn’t offer a wine tasting to go with at a set price. Our waiter offered to pair, but having no idea what the price would be we chose a bottle instead (which the waiter recommended and was amazing.) In the summer apparently you sit al fresco outside and that sounds lovely.
