★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locanda di passaggio dalle porzioni ricche e dai piatti di buona qualità. Propone menu che variano quotidianamente, quasi sempre con piatti principali a base di carni. Quando mettono in menu una specialità locale, il risultato è soddisfacente.
Prezzi davvero economici.
 A passing inn with rich portions and good quality dishes. It offers menus that vary daily, almost always with meat-based main dishes. When they put a local specialty on the menu, the result is satisfying.
Really cheap prices.

Homely management a little confusing with good typical local dishes. You spend little, but watch out for the receipt: check the bill when they bring it to you !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bel endroit .. accueillant...patron sympas ..on y mange bien et pour pas cher( 11 euros le menu ) pattes ..viande.et accompagnement .boissons et café ...je recommande vivement
Nice place .. welcoming ... friendly owner .. we eat well and for cheap (11 euros the menu) legs .. meat. And side dish. Drinks and coffee ... I highly recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dans le hameau d’Iselle, poste frontière italien sur la route du col du Simplon. Le petit café du matin en attendant de charger la voiture sur le train… La gare est à 700 mètres avant Iselle en venant de Domodossola. Fait restaurant aussi (petite terrasse qui surplombe le torrent).
In the hamlet of Iselle, Italian border post on the road to the Simplon Pass. Morning coffee while waiting to load the car onto the train… The station is 700 meters before Iselle coming from Domodossola. Also a restaurant (small terrace overlooking the torrent).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ultimo baluardo di un mondo che sta sparendo, il covid non ha fatto bene a nessuno. Un ristorante molto basico con poche pietanze, spesso solo un paio di porzioni. Il costo è economico, i piatti molto alla buona. I dolci sono, purtroppo, tutti comprati industriali.
Insomma se volete mangiare come dalla zia che cucina di malavoglia questo è il posto giusto, in attesa che migliori offerta e servizio. il vino è buono, ha la spuma come una volta, cerca di fare come può per accontentarvi con il suo carattere brusco ma fattivo.
The last bastion of a world that is disappearing, the covid has not done anyone any good. A very basic restaurant with few dishes, often only a couple of portions. The cost is cheap, the dishes very cheap. The desserts are, unfortunately, all bought by industry.
In short, if you want to eat like your aunt who cooks reluctantly this is the right place, waiting for the best offer and service. the wine is good, it has the froth as it once was, it tries to do what it can to satisfy you with its brusque but effective character.
