The place looks posh but the food is under par. The Wiener Schnitzel wasn't veal and the involtini were underwhelming and cold inside. Yet not too expensive compared to the coast.
IMHO Osteria dei Mercanti should consider serving good affordable grub -in which case the mentioned slips would be less of an issue- or step up several levels and produce excellent food.

Tasty food for honest prices. Very friendly waiters and extremely freshly made food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was delicious but the place is so big they need more waiters. It took some time to take our order but all waiters were helpful and nice. I give it 4 stars because the menu is only in Italian and with the number of tourists we saw, they could really write it in other languages too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location. Good food (apart pizza that according to me is too heavy in terms of pasta and the huge amount of tomato that they put, we ate 1 slice and left all the rest). Unfortunately the service was super slow even if when we arrived the place was half empty (we received the water and the starters after 10 min, but after that we had to wait more than 1.5 hours to get the wine and the main courses even after several reminders to get at least the good for the children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced for the quality which is very poor. We ordered the platter of antipasti which was very basic. The mixed grill of meat, although abundant and looked appetizing consisted of fatty sausages and dried, overcooked beef and pork. Service is hurried and not friendly. We cannot recommend it.
