β β β β β Not worth at all. Prices for Ambiente ok, but not at all for quality. Lobster with avocado was tasteless due to bad sourcing. (There is not much to cook wrong on a lobster with avocado), Spagetti Vongole were totally overdone. Salomon main course boring and no creativity at all. Wine recommendation also βdifficultβ. Staff response more or less ignorant to Feedback. Second star only for my main course, which was actually good. (Veal filet with Foie Gras.) But nothing more than a βgoodβ unfortunately. Such a shame for such a beautiful Hotel...

β β β β β This was a Michelin star experience. No idea if they have one but certainly worthy. Execution of food was flawless and taste was extraordinary. Not for every week but every so often to center yourself on what should be the reference on the lake for fine cuisine.

β β β β β The only noteworthy dish is the risotto; service was poor or absent and the prices are outrageous. The staff kept addressing us in English, despite speaking to them in Italian. The clientele was pompous, arrogant, and made me cringe ( I actually do feel bad for the waiters). The food (for dinner) is nothing special or extraordinary. Tastes like re-heated cafeteria food. The hotel is perfect otherwise and the breakfast buffet is excellent.

β β β β β The food was fine, but for the prices one would have expected it to be spectacular. Nowhere near Michelin standard. Had much better quality and experience in restaurants charging half the price. Service should sharpen up too- we were forgotten about half way through and our waiterβs knowledge of wines was poor. I would say the weak dining experiences are the only things that let the Grand Hotel Tremezzo down.
