He gave us great recommendations in English and was very friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local fresh lake fish. Not the usual frozen overpriced muscles. Delightful service, always smiling, friendly and competent. The best food we have had at Garda so far! Best way to get a table is to walk by in the early evening and ask.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ristorante La Taverna di Stefano is about 10 minutes (by car) north of the historic Garda city, right off of the main road (SR 249).
If you sit outside, the view is great. You're right on the water and the surrounding landscape is stunning. When we went, there were mostly Italians eating.
The food was just OK, nothing extraordinary.
We started with the carpaccio which was very good and a generous portion. The spaghetti vongole (clams) was good and tasted fresh but the tagliatelle with porcini tasted as if the sauce came from a package - underwhelming.
The deserts were mediocre at best and tasted artificially sweetend . Service was good and the staff was friendly.
