★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything was awful. I should have trusted the bad comments. They just heat frozen food. And it's really bad. I had a stomach ache the next day. There is plenty of good restaurants in Salerne. Just pick a random one instead of this one.
When we had to pay, the owner didn't even look at us and started talking with a group of people for several time.

Been there with friends and we got served later since we were not locals, the waiter basically forced us to choose the same dish for everyone to avoid long waits and still we waited a long time for our dinner. No separate glasses for the wine and not really friendly service. Won't come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentically wonderful! Il Duca was recommended by locals and it did not disappoint. In fact, it was truly one of the best places I ate during my whole time in Italy. Do not expect fine dining. The magic of this place is how informal and authentic it is. I had a small pitcher of red wine and a buffalo mozzarella pizza for 8 euro. Incredible place, I can't wait to return

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and cozy. The food is fresh and delicious, I recommend pasta del duca, a secret recipe with scialatielli freschi. This dish will literally put a spell on you. The pasta alla Sorrentina is also very tasty. At the end of the meal you can ask for meloncello, a tick creamy liquor that you’ll never forget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently had dinner 3-4 times here with my wife while staying three weeks in Salerno. The restaurant could be good if the food was hot. And the kitchen staff including the chef and waiters watch television in the open kitchen and the sound reverberates thought out the entire restaurant. We had to ask them to turn it down several times and they did each time we asked. I don’t want to hear television while eating my pasta and clams, it makes the restaurant unprofessional. The owner and staff are friendly and try to please the patrons.
