I was passing through Ancona, in front of the train station there is Gino restaurant. Perhaps from the outside it does not inspire because it is a bit dated but the excellent cuisine.

L'ho assaggiato e devo confermare che è molto saporito e ben preparato anche se non è il genere di piatto che preferisco, considerando il sapore particolare della pietanza. Ma la prova andava fatta! L'ambiente è fun po' datato e pertanto mantiene il suo fascino di ristorante anni 70. Servizio veloce e pratico. Traditional restaurant of Ancona located near the train station, known for the infamous stockfish all'anconetana, considered the best in all the Marche. I tasted it and I have to confirm that it is very tasty and well prepared even if it is not the kind of dish I prefer, considering the particular flavor of the dish. But the test had to be done! The atmosphere is a little dated and therefore retains its 70s restaurant appeal. Fast and practical service.

Appena arrivati ci hanno portato dei frittini di benvenuto. Preso 1 porzione di insalatina con baccalà, noci, ecc. e 2 piatti unici di Stoccafisso: ciavattoni al sugo di stoccafisso e stoccafisso all'anconetana con patate nello stesso piatto. Buonissimo e abbondante. Faticato a finirlo, anche perché ci abbiamo mangiato il pane buonissimo che ci hanno portato. Preso 1 acqua, 1/2 litro di Verdicchio della casa e 2 caffè. Speso 74 euro. Prezzo adeguato alla quantità e qualità di quanto mangiato (il piatto unico viene 25 euro). Consigliatissimo per il baccalà (gli altri piatti non so perché non assaggiati). C'è anche, probabilmente su ordinazione, il brodetto (una bella porzione). Historic restaurant in Ancona, famous for its stockfish. We went there specially and were not disappointed! As soon as we arrived they brought us welcome pancakes. Taken 1 portion of salad with cod, walnuts, etc. and 2 unique dishes of Stockfish: ciavattoni with stockfish sauce and stockfish all'anconetana with potatoes in the same dish. Yummy and plentiful. I struggled to finish it, also because we ate the delicious bread they brought us. I took 1 water, 1/2 liter of house Verdicchio and 2 coffees. Spent 74 euros. Price adequate to the quantity and quality of what is eaten (the single dish is 25 euros). Highly recommended for cod (the other dishes I don't know why not tasted). There is also, probably to order, the brodetto (a nice portion).

Personale gentile e premuroso. Consiglio vivamente Excellent single dish paccheri with stockfish sauce and stockfish with potatoes. The final sauce deserves to be finished by making the shoe with the bread. Friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend

The fish was only cheap quality and out of the freezer, the fries were not cooked enough and the salad which was advertised outside was really a joke. Great disappointment for my first meal in Italy. It is a mystery to me how this restaurant has any good reviews.
