We traveled to Italy for a week from our home country, and having a passion for Korean food, we set out to spend one evening having a non-typical dinner in Rome. After looking at reviews for several restaurants we landed here because this place supposedly has authentic flavors. It did not disappoint! We ordered the haemul pajeun, mandu and spicy pork belly. Of course no Korean meal is complete without the banchan of kimchis and other small palate cleansers/bite elevate-ers. I wish I had the space to try everything on the menu, but honestly I could have been a happy camper with just a half kilo of kimchi. The Korean staff was hospitable as I've been accustomed to expect. Unfortunately, not all the staff was as eager to please. We had to ask twice to refill the banchan, and the second time, seeing all the banchan were empty, the guy asked which to refill instead of resetting all of them. It's a minor thing, but come on, you're charging 15+€ per dish and you're cheaping out on tiny plates of pickles? Educate that guy - you know who it is. Wish I could give a five star review, but that incident just left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I’ve never tried Korean food before and I don’t have a comparison term, but the food was very tasty and delicious. I liked everything we ordered, but I love the taste of the fried chicken and Kimchi Jeon. I would definitely try this experience again!

Delicious Korean food in Rome. A nice change of pace in the city. Expect a good deal of kick to the hotter dishes. Dumplings were good, the mini bowls of accompaniments to the meal were hit and miss. Seems like good kimchi, but the hot dog sausage cubes drenched in miscellaneous spicy stuff were not really up to standard. Quite a reserved atmosphere. Accessibility good to the main dining area, but toilets require a couple of steps.

Authentic Korean, deserves the Michelin star! Reasonable price, and all the dishes just so delicious! Special mention to the rice cake, perfect tenderness and amazing sauce!

I found Gainn restaurant on the web while I was looking for a good Korean restaurant in Rome. I suddenly wanted to try it. The place is really clean and cozy and tables are well spaced (which is a benefit nowadays). Both the owners (a korean couple) and the waiters were really really kind and polite, service was super fast and all the dishes tasted super good (and some of them really spicy, but this is korean cuisine!). We tried tteokbokki, yangnyeom chicken, ojingeo bokkeum, twigim mandu, bulgogi deopbap and chicken deopbap. I really appreciate the variety of side dishes that go with the main ones. Chef Kim is really talented, well done! Last but not least, we also tried makgeolli (a korean alcoholic beverage made with rice) and I loved it! Price is extremely right bearing in mind that most of the products are imported, food quality, the skill in making the dishes and average prices near Termini station. I will come back for sure to try other dishes. Thank you for the experience - κ°μ‚¬ν•©λ‹ˆλ‹€!

I was in Rome for a week and had this for three days! Loved the restaurant so much I kept going back, everything tasted phenomenal and super comforting. The Gainn deobap was definitely my favourite, the pork is super tender and the sauce was very flavourful. Big shoutout to the kimchi as well, the best I’ve ever had! I always asked for a side of kimchi and they were super kind everytime, the owners are also very welcoming and friendly. Will always visit when in Rome❀️
