★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WARNING: The only 'vegetarian' marked food options on the menu ended up having bacon in it (such as the Tuscan bean stew) - something I only discovered too late as I saw it floating at the bottom of my food. Please assess your menu and mark any vegetarian foods properly. Fish is not vegetarian, meat is not vegetarian. Otherwise this could lead to much bigger problems with more militant non-meat eaters. (I am happy to change my review after this).
Other than that the food was ok, but service was quite slow. Surprised to pay for a large cover charge and other hidden fees which I had not come across in other local restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourite local restaurants. Fantastic traditional food and very friendly staff. Prices, as with many of the local restaurants, are very fair (although note that the Florentine steak can come out to about £50, as its priced by weight). There is some parking down the hill but not on site. Great views of the land from the outdoor seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow is all I can say. This place is an amazing gem. The people are fabulous, super hospitable, and the service was impeccable. Each one of the family members made our dining experience one to remember. We all are still talking about the delicious, one of a kind meals we ate. From the first course, to dessert, all the plates were truly delicious. We look forward to our next visit back to Italy and will make sure Cateni is one of our stops. I would highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A family of 4 went there with our small dog, they allowed us to sit inside. There is a lovely cosy part near the kitchen. Then a class covered dining area and a garden dining area. Amazing views. All 4 of us were happy with shared platter to start, our main courses and dessert. The service was super friendly. The menu in Italian and English. Very delicious, well presented, super professional.
