Si possono gustare i tartufi neri di Scagnello e quando è stagione degli ottimi funghi porcini. Da provare il Ramen una specie di zuppa con verdure spontanee di stagione, polpettine di barbabietole e uova di quaglia, una vera prelibatezza. Interessante è la lista dei vini. Molto gentili i proprietari, la mamma e il figlio sempre prodigo a descrivere le varie portate. Restaurant located in Nucetto on the Col Di Nava state road. Excellent food and refined dishes with excellent local raw materials. You can taste the black truffles of Scagnello and when it is the season of the excellent porcini mushrooms. Try the Ramen a kind of soup with wild seasonal vegetables, beetroot balls and quail eggs, a real delicacy. Interesting is the wine list. Very kind owners, the mother and the son always prodigal to describe the various courses.

Premesso che è indispensabile prenotare con anticipo, l’esperienza vale fino all’ultimo euro speso. Una cena perfetta con una qualità eccelsa, piatti ben progettati e proposti in maniera magistrale. Se la qualità è eccellente , la gentilezza e l’attenzione al servizio sono oltre e non hanno paragoni. The passion that the owners of this fantastic restaurant put into every single aspect of their work is truly admirable. A lunch or dinner with them is really treating yourself to a pampering and an opportunity not to be missed. For us it is a fixed stop every time we come to Val Tanaro! All rigorously made by them, food of the best quality and a rare mastery in cooking and presentation. More than recommended! A note of merit and exceptionality, personally, goes to the desserts. In addition to those of tradition, there is always the offer of some surprising delicacies depending on the seasonality of the ingredients. Years after we met this place, we confirm our most sincere congratulations!

Our waiter (son of the proprietor) took the time to learn our preferences for service as well as fun food related idioms in our local language. Communication in English was easy and effortless, and every dish was explained to the degree we required. Secondly, the food. The food at Da Vittorio is local and simple, and packed with flavour and quality ingredients. The whole area, from neighboring towns to the next valley was involved in procurement of ingredients, and the whole family behind the restaurant, was involved in collecting ingredients and cooking them to perfection. Thirdly, the dishes. The dishes were wholly local and without fancies. Especially the tarjarin and the agnolotti stole the thunder of the evening. Do yourself the favor of driving to Da Vittorio and enjoying a relaxed evening in the very capable hands of the staff, and taste what the Piemonte region has to offer.
