★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbiamo cenato sulla terrazza di questo ristorante. Si trova ad Acquacalda in una bella posizione con vista su Salina. Il personale è accogliente e molto attento. Il pesce era fresco e cucinato con delicata raffinatezza. Abbiamo preso un antipasto misto, buonissima la parmigiana, un primo di ravioli di Cernia, squisiti, involtini di pesce spada alla griglia delicati e gustosi e una cassata siciliana fresca, molto buona. Il vino, bianco della casa, profumato e leggero, anche se doveva essere servito più fresco, si sposava bene con i piatti. Esperienza piacevole e positiva, la consiglio.
 We dined on the terrace of this restaurant. It is located in Acquacalda in a beautiful position overlooking Salina. The staff are welcoming and very attentive. The fish was fresh and cooked with delicate refinement. We had a mixed appetizer, very good parmigiana, a first course of grouper ravioli, exquisite, delicate and tasty grilled swordfish rolls and a fresh Sicilian cassata, very good. The house white wine, fragrant and light, even if it had to be served cooler, went well with the dishes. Pleasant and positive experience, I recommend it.

Sarò di bocca buona, ma devo dire che alle Eolie si mangia bene praticamente ovunque, ma da Lauro un po'meglio. Scusate per il primo che già avevo cominciato scordandomi la foto
Exceptional, I don't understand who's complaining, I have taken many of the dishes that have been disparaged by other customers and I found them very good. I will be of a good mouth, but I must say that in the Aeolian Islands you eat well practically everywhere, but at Lauro a bit better. Sorry for the first one that I had already started forgetting the photo

So because these people were so helpful I'll go for the 4 stars. Winter is served not out of the bottle but they bring you the glasses just like that. That was an awkward experience.
The wine wasn't great to say the least but I felt a bit embarrassed to send back both glasses so we sent back one. Another glass came with a different wine which was only slightly better.
It was also weird that both wine glasses were served pretty full. But wine isn't made to be served like water. A big wine glass servers to be able to taste the wine better i thought.
Anyway the food was suboptimal. The ravioli were dry as if not cooked sufficiently or maybe just old. The shrimps fried in dough (pastella) had the dough too thick on them so that half of the dough wasn't cooked well. They also had oil all over them indicating that the oil in which they were fried had not had the right temperature.
The whole thing was only ok because of the good service. The place is also quite pricey
