★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually I like to leave a review of a good experience but unfortunately this was the worst experience I ever had at a Michelin recommended restaurant. I have eaten in many Michelin restaurants but it is a mystery to me why they recommend this resaurant. This is why I feel I have to place this review about the “Il Cormorano” restaurant in Agropoli.
You are in one of the most beautiful places with a beautiful sunset on a lovely terrace. But the food was really bad! Certainly not worthy of a mention in the Michelin guide! The “millefeuille caprese” was nothing more then a sliced tomato with good Mozzarella between it. The Vitello steak was more then well done, where medium was asked. Waiting time between entrance and main course was more than 1 hour! As main course I had swordfish but it was not fresh and smelly. I sent it back. I was offered another dish but I had to wait a long time for that again. My fellow table mates had long finished eating when my plate arrived. I immediately went to pay the bill. The woman at the register said there were problems in the kitchen. That is possible but we were not told that while we were waiting. But really a fish restaurant where the fish is not fresh that beats everything! A discount or a glass of Limoncello will not make up to that. I’m sorry but it all ruined the evening for me and my family.
