★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, elegant and literally by the sea. Literally. Going out and stepping on the sand, glancing at the moon reflected in the calm bay. The view has no price. Three or more floors, a bit crowded for it's very popular, servers are always running around and sometimes forget things. But pizza, boy. A nightmare. Something went bad with the dough I guess and it grew right in my stomach after I had eaten the pizza. The worst, had to stop driving and rest on my way home, and not just me. All of my friends. Prices too high and not much of a flavour. Sorry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty poor service, it's in a great location that's as good as it gets. They don't like it you haven't booked, and there is little service with a smile, like you get with any good Italian restaurant or restaurant anywhere for that fact, the appraisers where good, the mains 'GRAN CARTOCCIO' where under cooked, raw sword fish, unopened musicals, raw sea bass. Told the Waiter, not interested! There are so many great places to eat around there, but give this one a miss. It always makes me laugh when you see a lovely restaurant, do great marketing, create a nice website and then have so grumpy girl at front of house, it must be doing them a lot of damage?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Le Gatte is a must-go in Santa Maria di Castellabate if you want to eat great fish and dishes from the Cilento coast. My family and I had the special of the day, spaghetti with sea urchin and grated bottarga di ricciola. Unbelievable taste. It’s like you are eating from the sea. We also tried their ravioli with eggplant and local provolone. Really good too.
I personally loved the selection of wines, with local ones like the Falanghina. We started with the mix of alici, fried, with provola and marinated.
It’s located in the port of S. Maria, a tiny but cozy place where you can see the Marina with the nice tower, that at night offers a wonderful atmosphere! Better to reserve a table and if it’s a nice night ask to eat on he small terrace next to the boats.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location and amazing food....and they know it.That is why is difficult to get a table if you just walk in before 10pm.We had octopus salad , steak from Argentina and fillet of tuna.It was simply delicious.Highly recommend it.We had a very light rose just perfect for a very hot night.It' really worth it.The tiramisu was light and sugar was very balanced.Just great....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful seafood restaurant right by the port, in what looks like an old decayed building from the outside. High quality dishes, our favourite was the Scarola with vongole. Good wine selection, friendly service. Make sure to get a table outside on the terrace or the balcony. Decent prices too. Definitely recommended.
