β β β β β Beautiful views once you walk for about 30 minutes. Wish there were more crossings for the river, and better signage. But it is a very nice reserve once you make it off the mud trails and up on to the hills!

β β β β β Beautiful natural park that extends on the northern part of Rome. If u are lucky u can see some wild animals like foxes but beware of wild boars. If i remember correctly there are guided horse trips.

β β β β β I was raised in the area. It used to be my playing ground when as kids we used to pass most of our afternoon in the woods after school. The fields were well looked after and with plenty and diversified wildlife especially in the woods on the hills around the fields. Today due to less hill agriculture, abundance of food waste in the garbage along the boarders of the riserva and no predatory competitors, wild boars dominate the fauna with a devastating effect on ground fauna. The arrival of non indigenous birds is also very worrying due to competition with native birds. The riserva needs ecologists to arrange a more balanced natural environment or there is the risk of the loss of a diverse range of animals like turtles, lizards, native birds etc.etc In other words the riserva was 100 times more diverse 60 years ago when I used to pass most of my weekends and afternoon there. You could see turtles and a range of snakes and birds that are rare now if not extinct. Abandoning it, as it is now, is not an environmental proper solution.

β β β β β Nice park in the middle of Rome. You feel like being in the countryside. But it is nearly impossible to find an entrance. No working website and Google Maps is useless. Will post an entrance once colleagues told me where to them.

β β β β β Nature reserve that is just that: because the entrances are hard to find and the paths are not well maintained, there is peace and quiet in the middle of the city.

β β β β β This is the place where you can see natural meadows. May be somebody can cut green Γ²n paths. I don"t sugested wear shorts there and advice shirts with long sleews
