 Support point for high altitude excursions. Refreshment point. It can be reached in about 1.30 hours from the park below.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ottimo il salmerino con polenta e la torta preparata con farina di nocciole tritate e con cannella farcita con confettura di ribes (non mi ricordo il nome). Dal parcheggio 1h:30 in salita severa, ma ne vale la pena.
The char with polenta and the cake prepared with chopped hazelnut flour and cinnamon stuffed with currant jam (I don't remember the name) are excellent. From the car park 1h: 30 steep uphill, but it's worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo originale zona fantastica e unica.... Abbiamo pernottato una notte in gruppo, gestori disponibili, buon cibo, sembrava di essere a casa, consiglio vivamente un week end o una visita in giornata. Escursioni adatte a chi ama la montagna.
Original place, fantastic and unique area .... We stayed one night in a group, managers available, good food, it felt like home, I highly recommend a weekend or a day visit. Excursions suitable for mountain lovers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il rifugio Trivena é la porta d'accesso alle cime più alte della Val Breguzzo, un posto ancora selvaggio dove é possibile vedere camosci, stambecchi etc. Il rifugio é a conduzione familiare e si mangia bene. Gli interni sono un po'vecchiotti e necessiterebbero di qualche lavoro di ristrutturazione.
The Trivena refuge is the gateway to the highest peaks of the Val Breguzzo, a still wild place where it is possible to see chamois, ibex etc. The refuge is family run and the food is good. The interior is a bit old and would need some renovation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo una bella camminata in una domenica di febbraio, questo rifugio è una tappa obbligatoria.
Gestori gentili e disponibili per tutti, anche quando la sala da pranzo è piena.
Io ho mangiato la polenta col gulasch: apprezzata nonostante il gulasch non fosse piccante (come piace a me... ma questa scelta sarà probabilmente dovuta al fatto che i gestori pensano anche a chi non tollera il piccante). Il dessert che ho mangiato, la torta Linzer era una delizia unica: consigliatissima.
Il rifugio si trova in una posizione di mezzo tra la località Pont'Arnò e la piana del Redont, in una suggestiva cornice. Peccato che non ci fosse molta neve (a causa dei cambiamenti climatici)... anche se c'era ghiaccio in abbondanza: prudenza e ramponi sono d'obbligo.

I ate polenta with goulash: appreciated despite the fact that the goulash was not spicy (as I like it ... but this choice will probably be due to the fact that the managers also think about those who do not tolerate spicy). The dessert I ate, the Linzer cake was a unique treat - highly recommended.
The refuge is located in a middle position between the locality of Pont'Arnò and the Redont plain, in a suggestive setting. Too bad there wasn't a lot of snow (due to climate change) ... even if there was plenty of ice: caution and crampons are a must.
