Really average space, especially on the Italian market. Pizzas were tasty however they where nothing surprisingly good. I found the hair in the pizza which already lower my appetite. Apart from that the waiter does not know the price of my drink which turned later to a higher payment. I have to say that a plus is that this please do not have secret fees as included obligatory service charge.

Amazing little place in the centre of Rome - easy to walk to from Termini train station, if you are driving then it becomes tricky for parking. Incredible vegan options, to experience the Roman food. Would definitely come back

Been here in October 2021. As a vegan it isn’t easy to find a good restaurant. The Refugio Romano is the best one I have visited so far. If you’re a vegan or just want to try delicious vegan food - spend your meal at this gem. They serve a bright variation of vegan cuisine, beginning with one of the best vegan pizzas I’ve eaten so far. Make sure to do a reservation, the place is highly asked and you’ll have to wait when you just pop up.

Excellent! Amazing food with a lot of vegan options. I ordered bruschetta, vegan carbonara, and tiramisu, all vegan. My friends ordered ravioli with ricotta and traditional lasagna and they also said it was great. The people in the restaurant is nice and the restaurant is well located.

Rifugio Romano provides delicious food that can safely accommodate food allergies and other dietary restrictions. If you're looking for a place to eat near Termini or the Baths of Diocletian, this would be a great spot to visit. You may even consider taking the subway from the Colosseum to Termini and walking here, as we did in search of a restaurant that could accommodate my severe dairy, nut, and egg allergies. Though someone in our party did speak very good Italian, which helps considerably with communicating dietary restrictions, our waiter spoke good English, so you should be able to order safely here without speaking Italian. Perhaps consider learning or keeping the Italian words for your allergens on hand. Worth noting as well is that in addition to allergy accommodations, Rifugio Romano also had a large number of vegan and gluten free options, including a vegan cheese platter with far more types of vegan cheese than I have ever seen in the U.S. Do be advised though, the waiter did mention that the vegan cheeses are not safe for those with nut allergies. I enjoyed the Roman style artichoke, cooked beautifully and simply garnished with olive oil, salt, pepper, and parsley. A delicious dish. But the real star was definitely the Pollo Alla Romana: chicken on-the-bone served in the richest tomato sauce I've ever had. Overall, the food was fantastic, exactly what we had hoped for and more. Overall, for providing a safe dining experience for my severe food allergies, and serving delicious food on top of that, I give Rifugio Romano my highest recommendations. I hope to return someday.

Totally recommend this place as one of the best restaurants in Roma. The food was superb. It was so good, my partner and I went twice, of which one of the days was my birthday. I would recommend booking in advance as you will be waiting since they are so popular. Do not leave Rome without trying them

Amazing vegan food. If you're in Rome, Lazio definitely should try this out at least once. We stayed for a week and dined here 6 nights out of 7 and each night was as great as the first. The staff is lovely and tries its best even when busy.
