Not only is this place set in the most picturesque place I've ever laid eyes on, but it's also an incredible oasis unto itself. Our family traveled here for several days and had the most amazing experience. First it must be said that this is a dairy farm that sits atop the mountain above the town of Lusen where you can hear cow bells from various directions throughout the entire day. It is calming, gorgeous and relaxing. They have an outdoor play area for kids and plenty of space for the little ones to run around and check out farm life. Lodging include breakfast and dinner which all all homemade by the family members who run this incredible place. Breakfast includes homemade butter, yogurt, milk, cream and a variety of cheeses that are made right from the cows on the farm, as well as breads, granola, charcuterie of the day, fruit, Nutella, coffee and juice (totally my kind of breakfast). Dinner was a presentation of 4 courses - all simple and expertly prepared. There was always a salad to start from farm grown greens and then dessert at the end. Each day different meals were served and all were delicious. And don't miss the a-la-cart lunch menu while you're here. So many wonderful dishes. The place itself is a stunning mountain cabin with gorgeous 360 views. The rooms are comfortable and quaint and immaculate. There are no TVs but I think that's the point. You're meant to get outside and enjoy everything the beauty here has to offer. Hiking is paramount here and recommended. If I ever have the chance to revisit the Italian alps, I would be all too happy to stay here again. The entire experience was amazing, the food superb, the staff friendly and pleasant - every person nicer than the next.
