I titolari sono persone eccezionali: disponibili, cortesi e lei cucina molto bene: cucina semplice con prodotti locali. Dispongono di sole 3 camere: quella a nostra disposizione decisamente piccola per 4 (un letto matrimoniale a castello). In bagno non trovi shampoo e doccia schiuma...bisogna munirsi. Siamo stati ospiti per 3 notti senza mai ricevere pulizia e sistemazione della camera. Una cosa importante: serissimi problemi di ricezione per i telefoni. Con windtre siete fuori dal mondo! For those looking for a refuge near Camigliatello. The owners are exceptional people: helpful, courteous and she cooks very well: simple cuisine with local products. They have only 3 rooms: the one at our disposal is very small for 4 (a double bunk bed). In the bathroom you can't find shampoo and shower gel ... you have to get yourself. We were guests for 3 nights without ever receiving room cleaning and accommodation. One important thing: very serious reception problems for phones. With windtre you are out of this world!

Quindi passiamo capodanno e il primo del anno insieme a due splendide persone, ovvero i proprietari del rifugio Margherita, Eduardo e Simonetta. La Location è ideale per gli amanti della natura, accolti anche da una piccola famiglia di cuccioli di cani che la rendono ancora più magica. Pulita, riscaldamenti sempre accesi e un camino che rendeva le nostre cene calorose. Fin dal primo giorno ci siamo sentiti come se fossimo a casa, la cucina della chef Simonetta molto buona e caratteristica, tutta casera provando pietanze tipiche della Calabria. Sempre disponibili, indicandomi tutte le zone da visitare della Sila. Giorno 1 Eduardo organizza una ciaspolata con tutte le persone del rifugio, onorandoci di posti e viste spettacolari. Personalmente lo consiglio a tutti. Grazie mille per averci fatto passare questa bellissima esperienza, un saluto da Mattia, Salvatore e Daniele. We stay overnight from the 30th in the afternoon until the 2nd in the morning. So we spend New Year and the first of the year together with two wonderful people, namely the owners of the Margherita refuge, Eduardo and Simonetta. The Location is ideal for nature lovers, also welcomed by a small family of puppies that make it even more magical. Clean, always on heating and a fireplace that made our dinners warm. From the first day we felt as if we were at home, the cuisine of chef Simonetta very good and characteristic, all casera trying typical dishes of Calabria. Always available, indicating all the areas to visit in Sila. Day 1 Eduardo organizes a snowshoe hike with all the people of the refuge, honoring us with spectacular places and views. Personally I recommend it to everyone. Thank you very much for letting us pass this wonderful experience, a greeting from Mattia, Salvatore and Daniele.

Ben collegato e prossimo a tutti i principali siti di interesse escursionistico risulta un ottimo punto di appoggio per le attività all'aria aperta. Il rifugio è stato rimodernato da poco, le camere sono pulite e molto accoglienti. Il camino nella sala comune ha piacevolmente scaldato le nostre serate ma quello che più ci ha scaldato i cuori sono state la passione e la gentilezza di Simonetta ed Eduardo che in maniera eroica hanno restaurato e mantengono vivo questo tesoro racchiuso nella montagna. A degna conclusione non posso che citare con menzione d'onore la cucina del rifugio che per colazione, pranzi e cene ha saputo sempre incantarci arricchendo le nostre pance e le nostre anime delle bontà del territorio cucinate con maestria a regola d'arte. We were guests for 3 days at the Casello Margherita refuge during our excursions on the Sila. Well connected and close to all the main excursion sites, it is an excellent base for outdoor activities. The refuge has recently been refurbished, the rooms are clean and very welcoming. The fireplace in the common room pleasantly warmed our evenings but what warmed our hearts most was the passion and kindness of Simonetta and Eduardo who heroically restored and keep alive this treasure enclosed in the mountain. As a worthy conclusion, I can only mention with honorable mention the cuisine of the refuge which for breakfast, lunches and dinners has always been able to enchant us by enriching our bellies and our souls with the goodness of the territory cooked with skill in a workmanlike manner.

F	Fabian Lengg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Rifugio with familar atmosphere. A good place for non Italian speaker cause the hosts can speak english as well. They give you valuable hints for hikes and places to visit in Sila. The dinner is outstanding!
A	Andrew McConnell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been coming here for years. The place is quiet and beautiful. It is off the beaten track but has access to mountain vistas, amazing food and the sea is only an hour away. It is a great place to relax and experience the friendliness of southern Italy.

Simonetta cooked us amazing meals with fresh, organic and local ingredients and Eduardo suggested some great local hikes for us. We really recommend staying at Casello Margherita to experience warm Sila hospitality.
