S	Stefania Diaferia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una passeggiata che dal parcheggio (a pagamento) di Vo' di Moncodeno-Cainallo (Esino Lario), dura circa 1h. 30' con un dislivello di ca. 400m, che si affronta quasi tutto nell'ultima parte di cammino. Il sentiero è quasi sempre ben tenuto, tranne un paio di tratti in cui stare un pochino attenti perché passano su delle sassaie. Nel complesso non è difficile ma un po' di allenamento serve. Mio figlio di 7anni l'ha affrontato egregiamente, nonostante non sia abituatissimo, io verso la fine ero un po' provata. Il paesaggio vale però la piccola fatica, uno dei più belli e variabili che ho visto! Il rifugio è a 1800m di altezza, è classico, accogliente e pulito. Si trova a metà strada con il rifugio Brioschi. Ha camere ben suddivise con letti a castello anche per 2/3persone, coperte a disposizione e 1 bagno comune. La colazione è abbondante e con varie torte fatte in casa deliziose, servita all'aperto o nella sala da pranzo con stufa a legna. Si può pranzare e cenare ma noi non l'abbiamo fatto. Tanti tavoloni all'aperto, su cui mangiare. I gestori sono una bella famiglia simpatica e disponibile. Non c'è acqua potabile perché non ci sono fonti nella zona ma si può acquistarne in bottiglia. A walk that from the parking lot (for a fee) of Vo 'di Moncodeno-Cainallo (Esino Lario), takes about 1 hour. 30 'with a vertical drop of approx. 400m, which you face almost everything in the last part of the way. The path is almost always well maintained, except for a couple of sections in which to be a little careful because they pass over stones. Overall it's not difficult but a little training is needed. My 7-year-old son dealt with it very well, despite not being very used to it, towards the end I was a bit tried. The landscape, however, is worth the little effort, one of the most beautiful and variable I've seen! The refuge is 1800m high, it is classic, welcoming and clean. It is located halfway with the Brioschi refuge. It has well-divided rooms with bunk beds also for 2/3 people, blankets available and 1 shared bathroom. The breakfast is plentiful and with various delicious homemade cakes, served outdoors or in the dining room with wood stove. You can have lunch and dinner but we didn't. Lots of outdoor tables on which to eat. The managers are a nice, friendly and helpful family. There is no drinking water because there are no sources in the area but you can buy it in bottles.

In estate sempre aperto, in inverno meglio una telefonata. Bellissime passeggiate per arrivare al rifugio e da esso. Potendo ci tornerei più spesso. Well maintained refuge, always organized. You eat very well. Single or dormitory rooms available. Very kind refugees. Always open in summer, better a phone call in winter. Beautiful walks to get to the refuge and from it. If I could I would go back more often.

Ma la cosa peggiore è che la signora che serviva, prendeva il denaro ecc. ci ha servito la torta prendendola con le mani. Imperdonabile We stopped for a piece of cake. 20 minutes in the queue because there was only one person doing pretty much everything. But the worst part is that the lady who served, took the money etc. he served us the cake taking it with his hands. Unforgivable

E valorizzazione della zona. Now friends, the managers always faithful to the commitment they have given themselves. Excellent welcome, great food quality, clean well-kept rooms. Really, 27 years of devotion. And enhancement of the area.
