Le soluzioni con l'interscambio a Terni possono essere sfruttate anche per i viaggi di ritorno. In serata è presente un collegamento diretto da Roma Tiburtina. Ad un'altezza di oltre 400 m. s.l.m. gode di un clima più fresco d'estate ma meno umido d'inverno rispetto ad es. A Roma. Il fiume Velino è uno dei più pulito d'Europa. Innumerevoli i monumenti e le chiese antiche; alcune risalgono al periodo del primo medioevo, in stile romanico. Nessun collegamento diretto con Roma tranne un treno la mattina presto in partenza è uno la sera tardi in arrivo. Manco fossimo nel terzo mondo. Two-track station, no power line, only diesel train. No direct connection to Rome except for a train leaving early in the morning is arriving late at night. Not even we were in the third world.
