Prende il nome dal castello ivi presente. Si trova nel Monumento Naturale Fosso della Cecchignola già istituito con il decreto del Presidente della Regione Lazio, nel 2019, che lo rendono una vera e propria bellezza tutta da scoprire. IL bosco d’alto fusto offre riparo ad un’incredibile varietà di flora e fauna, il tutto arricchito dalla presenza di strutture e manufatti archeologici risalenti all’epoca imperiale romana. Castello della Cecchignola is a small fraction of Roma Capitale, located in the Q. XXXI Giuliano-Dalmata district, in the territory of the Municipality of Rome IX (formerly the Municipality of Rome XII). It rises along the via della Cecchignola, the only fraction of the capital to insist on the territory of a district. It takes its name from the castle present there. It is located in the Fosso della Cecchignola Natural Monument already established with the decree of the President of the Lazio Region, in 2019, which make it a real beauty to be discovered. The tall forest offers shelter to an incredible variety of flora and fauna, all enriched by the presence of archaeological structures and artifacts dating back to the Roman imperial era.
