★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho affidato una vecchia poltroncina con spalliera etc intarsiato. Piuttosto rovinata ma cui tenevo ed oggettivamente di ottima fattura. Mi è stata restituita davvero ben restaurata con un costo che ho stimato assai onesto. Bravi e seri. Consigliato per vecchi mobili cui tenete che possono tornare perfetti se messi nelle mani di chi è capace.
 I have entrusted an old armchair with inlaid back etc. Rather ruined but which I cared about and objectively well made. It was returned to me very well restored with a cost that I estimated very honest. Good and serious. Recommended for old furniture you care about that can be perfect again if placed in the hands of those who are capable.

Sono tornato da Claudia, la scorsa settimana per prendere un mobile appena restaurato.
Che bello, tornare nel laboratorio di nostro padre , odori, colori , tante piccole opere d’arte casualmente accatastate in quella antichissima bottega medievale. Tutto mi ha ricordato quando da bambino andavo a giocare con i pennelli e i colori. Sono passato più di 50 anni ed è tutto uguale a prima a parte che ora c’è mia sorella a condurre questa attività storica. Appena entrato ho trovata claudia china su una consol di qualche secolo fa , con la stessa dedizione, pazienza e piglio di nostro Padre. Ho avuto una forte emozione a pensare che claudia, mio papà e questa bottega sono un piccolissimo tassello di quel grande mosaico di arte e coltura che è roma .
Grazie Claudia per mantenere tutto ciò , l’arte del restauro, la passione per gli oggetti e i maestri che centinaia anni prima ci avevano lavorato e l’onestà di chi lavora soprattutto per la passione di essere una piccola parte di una grande storia dell’umanità .

I went back to Claudia's last week to get a newly restored piece of furniture.
How nice, to go back to our father's workshop, smells, colors, many small works of art casually stacked in that ancient medieval workshop. Everything reminded me of when as a child I used to play with brushes and colors. More than 50 years have passed and everything is the same as before except that now my sister is leading this historic business. As soon as I entered I found Claudia bent over a console from a few centuries ago, with the same dedication, patience and attitude of our Father. I had a strong emotion to think that claudia, my dad and this shop are a very small piece of that great mosaic of art and culture that is Rome.
Thank you Claudia for keeping all this, the art of restoration, the passion for objects and masters who had worked on them hundreds years earlier and the honesty of those who work above all for the passion of being a small part of a great history of humanity. .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho portato una specchiera dorata dell'800 Luigi Filippo acquistata all'asta malconcia e restituita, in ottime condizioni. Il restauro é stato eseguito a regola d'arte a mio avviso. Ho anche pagato leggermente meno rispetto ad altri preventivi ed ho infatti viaggiato da Capalbio per questo. Miglior decisione presa.

I brought a 19th century gilded Louis Philippe mirror purchased at a battered auction and returned, in excellent condition. The restoration was carried out in a workmanlike manner in my opinion. I also paid slightly less than other quotes and in fact I traveled from Capalbio for this. Best decision made.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho recentemente acquisito vari mobili antichi del 700-800 che ho prontamente portato a Claudia avendoci gia collaborato in passato. Dopo non molto mi é stato restituito il tutto restaurato e dorato a dovere, nel pieno rispetto del mobile antico-una Gioia non scontata per I mei occhi.
Ringrazio nuovamente Claudia per la sua disponibilitá, professionalitá ed onestá.
I recently acquired various antique furniture from the 700-800 which I promptly brought to Claudia having already collaborated with them in the past. Not long after, everything was returned to me, restored and gilded properly, in full respect of the antique furniture - a joy not taken for granted for my eyes.
I thank Claudia again for her availability, professionalism and honesty.

Ma non solo, Alfredo Fontana, è uno dei Restauratori più bravi e apprezzati (dù lamine d'oro ai tempi le ho messe pure io a borgo con Zio), e cugina Claudia ha mantenuto viva questa tradizione, un arte sempre più difficile e ricercata.
Quindi, per chi ha necessità o desiderio di ravvivare i propri mobili, o affini, può anche andare a ....nome mio! (Faccina sorridente e con l'occhilino!)
