Five stars for the memory of our fallen and zero stars as it is held; on the anniversary of the centenary you could spend 10 € to throw herbicide on the weeds.

Oft fuhren wir als Familie dran vorbei, da es mit dem Parken dort schlecht ist. Eigentlich muss man beim Restaurant parken und rüber laufen. After driving past it umpteen times, I was interested in looking at this building. We often drove past it as a family because parking there is bad. You actually have to park at the restaurant and walk over.
P	Peter Rausch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Auch wenn ich schon zig'mal daran vorbeigerast bin (wie 100tausend andere auch - jedes Jahr) hatte ich dieses Mal genügend Muse und Zeit anzuhalten. Das ist auch das Problem für Durchreisende. Erstens gibt es nur wenige Parkmöglichkeiten (2 kleine Buchten für max 5 PKW mit tiefen Löchern). Und zweitens ist es bei viel Verkehr (und das ist fast immer so) nicht ganz ungefährlich einzufahren und sich auch wieder in den Verkehrfluss einzufädeln. Für die Geschichte Südtirols ist dieses Mahnmal jedoch unverzichtbar. Man hat hier die sterblichen Überreste der Soldaten aus den weit entfernten Frontabschnitten eingesammelt und so den Hinterbliebenen einen Ort für die Trauer und Erinnerung gegeben. Es ist schon Schade mit welcher Ignoranz (Motorradfaher...) dieser herrliche Gebirgsabschnitt als "Rennstrecke" missbraucht wird. Even though I've visited it quite a bit (like 100 thousand others - every year), this time I had enough time and muse to stop. That's also the problem for transients. First, there are only a few parking spaces (2 small bays for max 5 cars with deep holes). And secondly, it is not quite safe to drive in with a lot of traffic (and that's almost always the case) and to get back in the traffic flow. However, this memorial is indispensable for the history of South Tyrol. Here, the mortal remains of the soldiers from the distant front sections have been collected, giving the bereaved a place for mourning and remembrance. It is a pity with what ignorance (Motorradfaher ...) this magnificent mountain section as "racetrack" abused.

Lo si trova percorrendo la strada principale vicino ai paesi di San Valentino alla Muta e Burgusio. Una strada immersa nel Verde... che a prima impressione dà un senso di infinito, e ad un certo punto sul tornante si incrocia la Storia. Il Sacrario Militare di Passo Resia. un luogo di cui dovremo esserne grati. un luogo dove queste anime riposano. e fanno sentire alla nostra Anima quel lieve tocco di silenzio... A very suggestive place. Surrounded by greenery, in an infinite meadow. It can be found along the main road near the villages of San Valentino alla Muta and Burgusio. A road surrounded by greenery ... which at first impression gives a sense of infinity, and at a certain point on the hairpin bend history crosses. The Military Memorial of Passo Resia. a place we should be grateful for. a place where these souls rest. and make our Soul feel that slight touch of silence ...
