In view to the tomorrow's morning swim roundabout the Gallinara island, he suggested me a light dinner with warm octopus and zucchini and tomatoes and...and... It was accompanied with a glass of GewΓΌrztraminer white wine. It ended with a delicious tiramisu, prepared from a young apprendis lady who has a bright future, in my opinion.
In brief, dinning in La Cantina di Re Carciofo, is one of the best ways to end up a nice day on vacations!

β β β β β Always full of tourists, great location, looks very nice. Meal rather average, service a bit under the expectation. Pretending to be very good local restaurant, but is more like tourists attraction. We had to wait for the meals very long and one of the ordered did not arrive at all. Water received after two reminders at the and of a dinner. But is nice place to enjoy the evening old town atmosphere.

β β β β β My second time there. I like the way they decorated everything but I couldnβt imagine anything else but aperitif only. The chairs on the patio are very uncomfortable and the tables are very narrow. The waitress is extremely friendly.
We ordered a bottle of wine and an assortment of cold cuts and cheese.
As for the wine, thanks for having me taste the wine, but the waiter should pour the wine in the other glasses instead of leaving the bottle on the table, specially when itβs almost empty and he could take the time to do it.
Nice sample of cold cuts and cheese but the toasted bread was a bit stale.
Overall a nice place for a drink.
