I was bringing my passport documents on 12/14/2021. On that date I was given the stamped sheet which gave the withdrawal date after 10 days. On 28/12/2021, well after the 10 days required, I showed up to collect my passport, and guess what, it wasn't ready. Now I can understand that the times may have been extended, but I do not understand why to write after 10 days if it is not so. Maybe they don't realize that many people have to waste half a day to go to the police station, not living in the area.

Historical police headquarters of Como, which has always been one of the landmarks of the city. The staff are nice, quite helpful, but often quite slow. The building has been affected by the years, and has some critical issues, although it continues to perform its duty. It is rather inconvenient to reach, as there are few parking spaces around, all paid and practically always full. When you call the phone for information it is often difficult to get on the line, because sometimes no one answers, but once you have managed to make contact you can generally get the information you need.

Very uneducated disrespectful reception. The police man at the reception was saying "che cazzo dice?" When spoken in English. Shameful public service Italy!!!

The level of animosity you feel from police is unreal, no guidance, they do not reply to any emails phones calls. You have to stand there for 2 hours with to have 10 second chat with a officer with domineering attitude, shouting at you if you try to talk more. Foreigners who are there to inject money to their economy for short term (like myself) are treated with animosity when asking same question twice. Worse, my parents have annually been importing from Italy for decades, and they get the same treatment, only after they see the balance, their attitude change lol. Everything is slow because of police officers chitchatting, no one speaks English despite of being immigration office when there are unnecessarily many officers inside lol. They are tax robbing pigs really, the least thing they can do is to have professional tone but even the guide at the front door starts sneering when someone comes to bother her tranquil time. No wonder why the country's economy is crumbling when taxes are so high, if Como station is so underdeveloped, can't imagine others. I feel really bad for Italians, police is real cancer here.

This afternoon my wife and I were enjoying a delightful time at an outdoor restaurant in the Duomo Piazza called Caffe’ Duomo while listening to a violinist and guitar player who were also selling their CD named La Musica nel vento. Their music was incredibly beautiful and everyone in the piazza was visibly captivated by every song they played. Suddenly three “polizia locale” officers showed up on their motorcycles and had a private chat with the musicians. They filled out a report and then left. Within five minutes the musicians stopped playing and began packing up their instruments. I walked up to the musicians and asked why they stopped playing. They said the police told them their music was “too loud” and they had to stop. Within a few minutes another group of musicians began playing 100’ feet away and their music was much louder and so very amateurish. The mood of people in the piazza changed dramatically as they left the area in droves. It was obvious to everyone present that the police wanted the violinist and guitarist to leave so the amateurs could play. I’m a 32-year law enforcement officer from the United States and I can smell the stench of corruption from a mile away. Clearly the amateurs made a “contribution” to the officers and/or their department to shoo away the competition. It felt like we were in Mexico where such sleazy tactics are commonplace. Congratulations Como Police, you put the pleasure of tourists and the profit of your city’s businesses behind the immediate gratification of cash in your pockets. Sleazy and disgusting. Needless to say, we will never return!

I would like to give -5(MINUS) stars but there's no option so I will give one star. Questura di COMO is the worst questura!!! People who work on COMO questura, WAKE UP!!!! THERE'S NO SYSTEM HERE!!!! I've been in questura di Roma and Rome has many worse things but at least questura for immigration has system. Big size of office with ticket system, people can wait on the chair waiting. There's microphone to call people so that they can hear well their name if officer calls. BUT HERE IN COMO, SURPRISINGLY TERRIBLE. I GIVE YOU "BRAVO!!" FOR WORKING WITHOUT ANY SYSTEM. 1.NOBODY TELLS WHAT TO BRING EXACTLY 2.TERRIBLE LONG LINE, NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE JUST NEED TO LINE UP WAITING OUTSIDE 3. I HAD TO COME BACK AGAIN BECAUSE NONE OF THEM TOLD ME WHAT MORE DOCUMENT TO BRING, SO I BROUGHT ONLY THE DOCUMENT I WAS TOLD SO 4. THEY JUST SCREAM TO CALL PEOPLE NAME YET NOBODY CAN HEAR FROM OUTSIDE - CAN YOU PUT AT LEAST SPEAKER?? Make some system please. 1. Write somewhere in the ticket or website - please bring this and this when you come pick up your permesso di soggiorno. 2. Change your office or at least use microphone and speaker. Thank you, I would prefer to use another questura for the next time if possible. It's not whole Italy being like this. It's exactly this one - COMO.
